Don't talk about it in the workplace, you will regret it.. Boss basically says I'm on the same level as the scammers on craigslist. I've been on lifetilt since then..

Basically never tell anyone how much you've won... cause you always get the question "how much did you lose?" or if you win any... "omg, cash it all out, the house always eventually wins"... dumbasses lol.

From now on, if people ask questions, actually send them the link to this thread, and tell them to read through it before asking again.

"I think you have a gambling problem."

"It's not a problem if I'm winning, is it?"

Not for me they don't.
A friend from highschool who's now at uni texted me the other day and after a while she asked if I was still working same job. I explained no I play poker now...

First respones:
"oh no. do you make money from it?"

So I reply along the lines of "well yes or I wouldn't play".

Second response "well don't lose it. Maybe you should stop."

I swear people life tilt me so much

lol "but how much did you lose?" is something I get from family members that is really annoying. Also came in fifth in a tournament with over three hundred people and told a friend, and she said, "Wow, that's so cool how lucky you are in poker all the time." -.-

i've told a few of my co workers, and got some life tilting responses:

1. I dont get it, if everyone wins in that game then how can people make money it has to come from somewhere. (mind blowing imo)
2. (after i told em my profit for the month). Why dont you cash it all out and start all over again, aren't you afraid u will lose it all?
3. You must be playing some really bad players, i bet you cant beat the pros.
4. Did you win anythign today? No i lost about $300. ::jaw drops:: WOW dude, thats horrible, i told u to cash out.

I had to go to a psychiatrist because my parents thought I had a gambling problem. This guy has like 3 doctorates, and yet I've never seen someone so mathematically ******ed.

Huge beat: explaining variance, expectation, the law of large numbers, PT3 graph.

And still I get "Most people who come to me are in debt $30,000 - $300,000. Soon that will be you."

I wanted to offer a prop bet on the spot, but somehow I thought that might be counterproductive :/

Brag: found out how to acquire adderal from him.

I remember when my parents were opposed to my poker playing. Then I said, "For some reason, even though I have the same genetic material as you guys, I am smarter than you. So I think you should learn more about it instead of being worried."

That worked for me, but every situation is different and it may not work for you.

i get frustrated just by reading this, exactly this do I also hear often. It took like 3 years for my grandfather to understand you can win at this and that its not only luck. Im not sure though if he would say "i told you so" if i go busto, wouldnt suprise me.

But after all they are all just caring I guess.. Would be nice if they were a bit openminded and got out of there denial..
