You want to throw douche lines at me? Go ahead son but be able to back them up, I'll stack you solid and walk away with your woman to boot.

It's not the big 'woods fault that he happens to be extremely attractive as well as a dominant poker force and an all-around great guy. It's not easy son.

If you want some tips I do coaching for AU$150/hour...inbox me or feel free to rail me on the iPoker network, you might learn a thing or two, son.

Just has a massive heads up session on a new network where I absolutely dominated whilst listening to a little Ronan Keating and Bieber...it might sound gay (I'm an extremely good looking straight guy) but listening to those boys really puts me in a good mood whereby I don't tilt. Geez I'm good.

Friend: how much did you make today?
Me: $1200
Friend: Yes but how much did you lose?
Me: *think to myself, what is this guy*.. and just go along with it and say $2500 while making a sad face and walk away.

A few days ago I somehow got involved in a conversation with a woman at work about poker.

After a few minutes, I immediately wanted to die.

She asked me if people “actually played for real money online.”

I responded, “Yes.”

She said, “Wow. Imagine how many lives are ruined because of that?”

Why the heck is it immediately assumed that nobody actually wins money playing poker?

I would've said: "probably a lot". Wonder what she would've said then.

Though actually gambling addicts will find other ways to ruin their lives I'd imagine. Most of 'em at least. Lots of **** you can waste money on in the hopes of hitting big.

I think it is probably fair to say that only a minority win huge amounts of money.

Having said that, what about all of the online players grinding out 50-100K a year?

True, a lot of players are also losing players. But I doubt very few of them are actually ruining their life over poker like she thinks.

Exactly. Every hobby costs money. An avid fisherman probably spends more on gear in a year than a losing micro player.

Even if you're a losing player it's enjoyable to sit down for and play for the evening

(In before that's what a losing player would say.)

Also, Elwood what an everyday hero. I hear you can't even get a game hu these days?

Yes I have a buddy that plays poker when he isn't dumping in the slot machine. Him being a complete fish in poker actually saves him money. It doesn't go as fast.

My girlfriends dad just can not understand why she doesn't give me all of her money to double up. Lol, awesome logic.

He's tried numerous times to stake me for a quick double up.

Apperently doubling up is what poker players do.
