I also had a Co-Worker who said online poker is 100% rigged, once he watched me playing 4 tables on the work computer and i got dealt AK in two tables at once and he went all crazy like he had rabies or something "SEE?!! SEE!!?! IN LIVE POKER YOU NEVER GET AK THAT OFTEN!" and continued saying something that in live poker i win but online i lose, a moment later he told me about his super system in online limit poker where he limps every hand because you can always make two pair or something and how he makes monies with this style.

i had to track this thread down, my roommate constantly asks if im playing/how im doing. it annoys the hell out of me.

him: you playing?
me: nope
him: start playing then
me: when i feel like it

an hour later its:

him: you playing?
me: nope
him: start playing man
me: ......

when im playing its:

him: you playing?
me: yeah
him: how much you up?
me: im actually down
him: im disappointed in you

i end up ignoring half his comments

So if someone asks me what I do for a living and I'm in like Chapters, I'll be like, "I... uh work at Chapters" and turn around and start rearranging the books on a shelf.

Also if you get asked what your job is and you don't want to say you are a poker player just say you work for the IRS. Pretty much everybody will distance themselves and never say a word to you again. If someone asks a follow up just say you tax people for their monies, which is kinda true. Loved the thread and thought I would add my two cents.

Just get a samplesize of 1mil+ and u'll see that all hands are dealt randomly

They rig it so that you get dealt random cards.

I do, as soon as they ask if I win or lose, then they stop straight away. It's amazingly easy to ask stupid questions about someone else's job, and quite good fun too.
