"well my professor invented a system where he crushes roulette and blackjack at the casino."

Ask your friend if this system involves making a small bet and then doubling it whenever he loses. You're like almost a lock to end up ahead with this system.

Boss asks me if I've played any lately during a casual conversation. I say not really, I'm taking a break from playing and want to prepare a little better so I don't keep losing as much. He asks "How do you prepare for poker"?

Be pleased your dad atleast know hand rankings. My parents think for some obscene reason that my stars account is linked to my banc account.

Was forced into a long conversation where some girl i vaguely know was interested in my pokers..

spent 20 mins telling her and she seemed pretty inteligent and understanding ( was pretty stunned )

minutes silence ensures:

Girl: If i was you, i would take the money out now before you stop getting lucky. ..sigh

Girl: When you win how do you know the other players will pay? ( f m. where do lets start again

So there's a friend who participated in a MTT tournament. Next day convo goes like:
Me: So how was tournament?
Him: Got knocked out pretty fast, like after 15 mins
Me: How?
Him: I moved all in pre-flop with 2's
Me: How big was your chip stack?
Him: 18k
Me: *sets a poker face* Oh.

Standard questions like others mentioned "How was poker", "How much you got" pisses of as well. But what annoys me the most is home games with my friends. Anything that you read on any poker book, article etc. doesn't count there: for example I hold AJ heads up against my friend. Board goes K 7 J I check, friend bets, I call. Turn's rag, I check, my friend bets again, I call. Rag on the river as well, and a huge bet by my friend, I fold. He shows 87o. And no, he didn't try to bluff me out, he plays every hand like that and you never know, you play against a set or against 9 high.

Level of what? And what I tried to say, is that my friend isn't like Hansen or Dwan - playing so unexpectadly. When he's totally drawing dead, I have like a set or a straight, everybody at the table knowing that I have something because of big raises, my friend looks at the cards, picks up the chips to call, says "Meh.. What the heck" and does the call.
