In online chess people use computer simulations to gain unfair advantages over opponents.
In olympics athletes use drugs to gain unfair advantages over everyone.
In pro sports athletes may throw the game due to a backstage offer like tennis when Safin (world no. 5) lost to a guy who wasn't even in the top 200 in the world.
In poker... dealers can tamper with decks in real life.. players can mark cards or bend cards to recognise certain cards.
In online poker.. people can not only see hole cards they can access the card shuffler when the odds are heavily out of favor for them to call or raise.
