Can't help but laugh---

over the last week, over about 100 example, I am slightly -EV with AA, KK , QQ and JJ.

I one day I got it all in with QQ and came up against KK or AA 4x

on the same day I got it all in with KK and came up on AA

I've lost lost several straights to rivered flushes, got flush over flushed several times, including in a headsup game, and have lost with numerous sets and even a few full-houses...i'v e had 2 full houses where I tied, and few straights where I tied, and a bunch of TPTK hands that ended in a draw. Somehow I have remained slightly positive EV over this run.

Anyways, this one is just precious:

Why didn't you just call his river bet? You are losing to quads and better full houses here a lot. Maybe stop playing for a bit if you keep tilting like this.

Why wait until the river - why not just fold pre?

It sounds like you've been experiencing a lot of bad luck recently. However, it's important to remember that poker is a game of long-term results, and short-term fluctuations are normal. Even with a negative expected value (EV) for your hands, you can still remain slightly positive EV over a longer period of time. It's important to keep a level head and continue playing your best strategy. Try not to let the recent run of bad luck affect your play.

Not to worry - I don't let it get to me. I might throw my hands up in the air once in a while, and I might spew out a few expletives, but I don't stress over it or let it tilt my play.

BTW: Same pattern of **** is happening today. I run up my bankroll to ~200bb, hit a premium hand and get destroyed.

First hand was K10 vs a MP open - I hit top pair on the flop, a straight on the river but villain hit the nut flush at the same time.

Second hand: I raised AA to 25 bb vs a 5bb open and 1 caller - opener had 50bb stack. Flop comes down 5 A 9, 2 clubs. I check, villain jams I call - he called a big 3bet with J10o for 50% of his stack then jammed the middle flush draw and, of course, nailed the flush.

Third hand: I open KK from MP and the SB and BB call. Flop comes Q 7 8 rainbow and I lead out for 4bb into a pot of 10 and BB calls. Turn brings a 3 and a fluish draw, I bet 70% pot and BB calls. The river brings a jack and completes the flush draw. I bet 35% pot on the river and get called by BB who beats me with 2 pair, J-7o.

So now, for the month, over 30 hands of KK I am -36bb in EV and -160bb in actual winnings. It makes it difficult to win when, over 30 hands, the 2nd best hand in poker results in negative EV and -1.5 buy-ins of actual winnings...

I hope your wanted to say 200buy-in because a 200bb bankroll, your risk of ruin is probably 99.999999999999999999% even if you are the best players in the world. You have better chance getting rich playing loto (and its not a joke you actually have more chance)
Also you focus on hands that turn not good. I never ever take a look at my EV for AA and KK, guess why ? Because that do not make any sense, I won't become a better poker players crying at my bad luck.
Read about proper bankroll management and read the first book of Jared Tendler

I didn't mean to write bank roll - I meant that every say I run up my stack to 200bb before my premium hands get destroyed.

I am not crying about my luck - the thread is called "running so bad that its funny." I aint crying about it.

And its obviously not just AA losing to J10 - its a set of gaddamned Aces losing to J10. Its bad enough when you can't win with AA or KK, but when you can't even win with a mother****ing set of Aces against a guy who called a 3bet for more than half his stack with J10?
..
This crap has been going on since December - every big pot I get into with every premium hand I lose.

BTW another one: just lost a nut straight to a flopped 3-5 flush when I held a blocker to the flush....

I spent 4 months from August until December killing it with EV but running -25 - 30 buyins below EV. Now I am just getting destroyed in EV on the hands that should be making me money. So its not just short term bad luck - it its 6 months of "bad luck" just a different type of it. Before I was dominating but losing every coin-flip and getting bad-beat a lot...now I am just getting demolished with nuttish hands in situations where I have to call...

And now I just got it all in QQ vs KK against a 4 bet from a guy who jammed a few hands ago with 10 high....its ****ing impossible - this is the 5thh time in 1 week where I have got it all in bad with QQ - the 5th time out of 27x where I've had QQ where the villain has had AA or KK. That means that nearly 20% of the time that I get QQ the villain has had AA or KK...

Isn't that very lucky though? You only run your QQ against AA or KK 20% of the time when the real odds should be 50% of the time. Seems to me you running pretty damn hot.

observing and complaining about a bad situation does not, necessarily, equate to crying. But I guess you those sorts of distinctions do not register with you.

And another one -

Build up my stack to 180, get AA. Villain bets I make big 3bet, he calls out of position with 87o and turns a straight.

Then, a few hands later, I open AJo in HJ/UTG and get 3bet by MP who has 40bb -bb calls I call. Flop comes J 8 3 with a heart draw. MP jams, bb folds I call: MP has 1010 with a a heart. Villain gets runner runner hearts for the flush.

Good ****ing God...

same guy that beat me with J3 o vs 1010 all in pre beat me 3x in row in big pots:

I have AQo, 3 bet he calls. Flop a Q, get 1/2 the stack in on the river: he has a set of Q's

I have AKo, 3bet pot - I Flop a K, river an A, get it all in: he has a set of 8's

I have AQ, 3 bet - flop comes K 4 2. I cbet the flop and the turn - river brings in an Ace and I jam: he beats me with K4o

All in all that's over 350bb gone to an idiot who calls jams with J2o, who called a 50bb river bet on a 4-suit board with a pair of 4's etc. but who only seems ot have it when playing against me...

Iím sure itís a perfectly balance range and using an MDF strategy for the River. You clearly just donít understand GTO.
