when playing 6max, how do you react to 3bets especially when you're getting hammered by them every orbit? Do you get mad and just spite call? Do you just hit pot if you're going to 4bet or do you make it 2.5x?

OP:

Why won't you answer to the 'how much did you lose ?' question ? (srs question)

Are you ashamed of how much you lost or do you feel like it's a hobby like any other, that costs you money to enjoy ?

No, I have never thought about killing myself. It's only money. Yes, I thought I probably wasn't working hard enough. However, I think the talent was lacking as well. I don't know why I kept tilting. I read Tommy Angelo's book and tried to set rules. However, it was hard for me to follow my rules when I was in the middle of a meltdown tilt.

Interesting. I fancy myself as a handreader, and every session there will be a hand or two where I end up calling on the river with stuff like A high against a fish with a blatantly missed draw. When you experience that do you think "OMG what a moron, next hand real quick plz" or "ZOMG he is pro I should leave right now while I can still pay my rent".

Well, I was the one generally doing the 3betting in 6max, expecially after going from HU back to 6max. But yes, I would spite call way to often with hands like 75 suited OOP. I would 4 bet small because that's what I learned in the videos (lol). If I was tilted I would probably shove AQ, 77, etc.

Good question. Yes, it is embarrassing to confront how much you lost. It does make me feel ashamed. This is why I think PTR is bad for online poker. Losing players do not need pokertracker or other such tools to see their results.

How long are you going to self exclude yourself from playing? The max or minimum ?

That would make me think you were bad and yes "next hand real quick plz." I usually only quit players when nothing happened either way or I was doing that thing were you win and leave. Wow I'm tired.

Not so random statements concerning this thread:

The gerneral tone in this thread is pretty hostile towards OP
i wonder why this is.

Admitting being a losing player is probably good for him as it has a affect like AA meetings do.

Tilt must be a very huge winrate killer because OP seems to be intelligent.

Probably 50% of posters in this thread are losing players and would never admit it.

This thread is a level, OP is a huge winning player.

Poker sites should have a feature to preselect limits you want to allow yourself to play, so in case you tilt your unable to move up in stakes to chase loses, sadly this will cut into winning players expectations.

Losing is a big part of life, get used to it, move on do something you can win at and be happy.

Why do fish slowplay then overbet donk shove the river with the nuts? How often does this line get paid off?

Have you ever tried playing live? NL200 live is easier than NL50 online. As long as you leave after losing 2BI to avoid tilt, I imagine you could do ok.

Oh, thanks. I should have known that. I punched a wall after taking a shot with my whole bankroll and losing a 2k pot KK vs. AA. That's about the worst. I never really got that mad when I tilted. I just played bad.

Never more than 3k. It sucks to lose that in a night when you play .25/.50 - .50/1 heads up normally.

Thank you, sir. Very interesting post. Unfortunately this isn't a level. Secondly, you are right, it is therapeutic to admit to being a losing player. I have thought exactly the same thing about poker sites. They could have a feature similar to self exclusion that would allow you to only play a certain limit (I think I've seen this on one site) or a feature that would only let you play with a 20x bank roll. This would be excellent for the site because I generated over 1k in rake many months for these sites. It would definitely be bad for winning players.

I really never slow played intentionally unless my opponent was a total jerk. However, I probably had serious timing tells when I had the nuts deciding what to do. Part of my fishiness is that I probably don't understand the difference between a correct overbet river shove and when it is a "donk shove" as you say. I've had times where I think I've used this to perfection and other times when I realized the ridiculousness of my bet from my opponent's chat after the shove. Again, I tended to shove badly on river when I was tilted.

I played anyone. Recently I tried looking up players on ptr. This was frustrating because most of the ones sitting alone at a HU table were regs who were either smaller winners or small losers.
