I'd actually like some advice from you on girls. If you've managed to get two dates to eat out of dumpsters with you you must have some pretty awesome skills with girls. Imagine all the girls you could pick up if you didn't eat out of dumpsters!
Yes I could have my way with the ladies if I wanted to.

Ask Degen, a prominent poster in here, and on High stakes no limit. When I vacationed with him for about a month, I took it upon myself to show him how easy it was to pick up girls. I probably got at least 5 random girls fone # in front of hm.

We are in a cab, he says look at that hot girl, i get out of the car, go talk to her and I get her digits.

Right before that we were in mcdonalds drive threw, I got out of the car to talk to the girl at the window for a few minutes, got her digits etc.

He'll probably post in this thread later

Anyway, I don't really have any desire to get with other girls, I love this girl Yuko in Japan, she's coming here next week.

I am not gay.

are girls impressed by this? Will eating out of a dumpster increase my pickups?
Probably not, but if you can eat out of the dumpster, and girls know this, and you can still get girls, then you have skillz and confidence.

Veg,

I think this is pretty awesome. mad props to you. it's like a millionaire still riding a bike to work to help the environment. very cool.
Thanks man, I appreciate it.

It is deifnately very hard sometimes.
I have lotsa friends who are very wasteful, and very rich from poker or other busineses.

FWIW I also ride my bike, donate a decent amount of my money, and plan to donate all of it.

I think berry greenstein who donates almost all of his money to charity is awesome.

I would rather big a builder roll first so I can donate even more later.

And it wouldn't be donating to charity as much as doing some projects with the community in Mexico (I am Mexican) that I always wanted to do.

ie: clean water, and helping out some self sufficent communites so they can stay that way.

do you have a problem keeping a balanced diet? do you find more of one food group in the trash?

(sorry, is "trash" a derogatory word?)

trash is not derogetory, in times when I/my friends are lazy, its harder to get a balanced diet, But if we dumpster dive at least twice a week, that is usualy enough to stay very healthy.

We almost always find bread, and salad, as much as you wanted.
Also fresh produce. fruit veggies etc.

rarer, but still common is juice, tofu, prepackaged meals, hummus, falafel, pizza, lasagna etc.

also, these 2 months i am trying to buy no food at all, but usualy I used to eat out every once in a while at local chinese, indian ethiopian or veg/vegan places too. and I used to buy some food too if I wanted it, like vegan ice cream, or vegan pizza etc.

I usualy just eat the breadsticks/sauce out of pizza hut.

But either way I am really freegan not vegan.

Or I could take off the cheese.

My friends eat it though.

vegan ice cream is made out of soy.
Vegan pizza has soy cheese.

So this is how you got your bankroll?

Here I am paying at least $600 per month for food, like a sucker.

Next you will tell me you don't pay rent.

I think the "not being wasteful" component of this is very cool, but all the anti-capitalist stuff (found in the wiki entry) is just ******ed.

Humans need incentive to get [censored] done. Take it away and you'll get even more hunger, oppression and misery than there is now.

Not that capitalism should be unregulated, mind you.

/end politics

How about the whole philosophy centering around eliminating exploitation and the guy that follows to it playing poker?

Fine, I’ll do it.

I think Veganmav deserves some level of respect for his commitment to ideals. A lot of people complain about corporate domination of our culture, but he is actually doing something about it. If I weren’t so lazy and had some balls, I might want to do something similar. I am not a vegetarian, but I do understand that the production of meat has a really negative impact on the environment and also has other social costs.

Veganmav isn’t living the lifestyle that I would choose, but at least he is putting his money when his mouth is.

To me freeganism is more about consuming less, and wasting less.

I used to be vegan. Then one day i had dumpster dived veggie burgers, that were vegetarian, but not vegan. I didnt intend on eating them, and later that day I was about to buy vegan veggie burgers, but i said eff it, and just ate the non-vegan veggie burgers that I had.

Ever since then, I have been almost vegan, but I will eat something if it is vegetarian, but not vegan, and was out of the trash.

Buying non-vegan veggie burgers may be against a vegans morals, but eating them out of the trash may not be.

Do you see why?

I am not against capitalism, I am aaginst the companies being super wasteful in many aspects. They pollute, mistreat workers, run over 3rd world countries and leave them devistated, sell us crappy products, and advertise way too much such that it almost alters how we behave.

I am against waste.
I am against oppression.
