While your intentions are good, this is just ****ing dumb. You eat from trash. Eating from trash is something people do because they have too, not because they want to. There is so much hypocracy in this thread its funny.

Shame it got a bit sidetracked with the freegan/vegan issue; I just think Mav is a guy who grew up around a lot of poverty and dumpster diving was his response to living in a wasteful society.

I assume that businesses factor in a waste percentage when they calculate the costs of production, and that these costs will be passed on to the consumer. So we pay supermarkets etc to waste food. It's pretty ****ed up if you think about it.
