yeah, you are right, 6% roi at the $16 mtt sngs is way to high. maybe three years ago when the games were really soft. probably the best anybody could do would be 1-2% roi at these stakes.

and great point about variance. if he needs to average a little over 6% roi, variaince will drop this by probably 4 points. so really he needs a 10% roi because after variance it will be down to 6%.

for those who dont know variance is. variance = how much NEGATIVE you run vs your longterm (expected) roi. there is no such thing as positive variance or running good, only negative variance. and over the 10,000 sng sample boku will have for this bet you can expect a ton of variance (negative) because that is a really really small sample.

The thing is, if at any point in time he runs bad at all (like, for one day), it will devastate his chances for success overall. Like if he runs bad the first day playing $1.10s, that's one less day at the higher stakes where he'll be earning most of the money. If he runs the money up to $200 quickly but runs bad at 6.50s or whatever, then he has to move down and it will be that much harder to win. Etc about moving to the $16s.

And if he's 40 tabling, I can't imagine his expected roi is huge.

3:1 is not a fair bet. I kind of don't want to ruin this for Boku, but he knows it isn't fair either, but whatever, people will take the bet anyways. Playing 12/45's, 3 dollars per game is very attainable 20 tabling. That is over 30 games per hour. He shouldn't take more than 5 days to get to 12/45'. Do the math guys.
