Wow, I read about the first 30 pages of this last night, and have been truly entertained by this thread. How the hell do some of these people keep playing after losing so much? Do they somehow think that they don't suck after losing hundreds of thousands of dollars? I mean damn, I thought my SharkScope graphs were pretty wild, but wow...

Also, how the hell do some of these people like tatta seemingly never lose a SNG? I don't care how good you are, how is it even possible to have almost absolutely no negative variance over so many games?

I found this graph in another thread. I don't even know how this is even possible...

I can't tell if this guy ended +$7K or -$8K.

I guess I'll throw in a few. This guy has been banned from the FTP forum probably about 20 times. He is an absolute nutjob, but apparently is one hell of a poker player.




This next guy, I had the pleasure of facing over and over in a bunch of low stakes heads up matches. I played probably about 30 matches with this guy, and he went all in on every single hand of every game. I decided to look him up at the time, and he was at the point all the way at the bottom, between 325 and 350. After he decided to stop playing against me, I kept an eye on him for the rest of the evening, and then he went on to win a $69+6 45-man SNG for like $1200 bucks, explaining the massive jump. Even after his big win, he apparently has decided to go skiing right back down the slopes again.

i think those ppl who have ROI worse than -40% are just account used to chip dump. it's pretty hard to lose that often, and i dont think something like 98% is even possible due to variance/skill.

He has the same variance as other people do! The difference is his HUGE samplesize! If you look closely you can see his graph go down for a few pixels every now and then. Since the vertical axis represents nearly 300k, those few pixels are a few thousand $ downswing!
