I basically hit the ground running every time I moved up. Every time I moved up stakes I was on every table up to 24 of that stake. Even when I moved up to mid stakes not only was I not very good at all but I went straight for 2/4 and 3/6 mix so that I could 24 table.

All at home, can't play at work. I downloaded the stars client but it won't let me connect to the network so I can't do anything. I now tile but I used to stack.

I'd guess somewhere between 4-5 million. PTR has over 3 million tracked for me on stars alone and I played cash before ptr, play on other sites, and was a MTT pro for a while as well.

Much respect OP.

What are your overall money goals? Why are you working so hard? I just want to get a sense of what is driving you (I have already read that you like the competition, but is there anything else?). Do you want to retire one day?

Really sick.

What do you do at your job?
Net worth? How much from poker?
Plans for the future?

I would like to make 400k this year at poker. That was my goal last year and I was well ahead of pace for that despite "retiring" at the beginning of the year and not playing 2 months before my huge downswing. Right now I'm shooting for ~25k / month with vastly decreased volume. Between this and coaching / staking I think this is a realistic goal.

As for motivation, I really don't need any. When I'm not running horrible I really enjoy playing and the thrill of winning thousands of dollars at a computer game is motivation enough.

I have had a lot of "roles" at my job. When I started there I was a clerk, but I learned to program and automated basically all my responsibilities. Within a few months I was trading metal/mining stocks. I binked the Phelps Dodge buyout like my second month and we made almost a million bucks in a day on my position lol. Unfortunately shortly thereafter markets tightened and we fell behind in the speed race for automated trading and I decided to concentrate more on the technology aspect of the business. I worked with reporting and systems more and quit trading. About two years ago we got a new boss here and he kind of pushed me more in towards the operations side of things. I now have an assistant and basically do a lot of operational scripting, act as a bridge between trading and development, and am in charge of dealing with Clearing and accounting. I'm basically sort of a "Swiss Army Knife" for the group.

~80-85% of net worth is from poker.

Don't really have many plans for the future. I'm going to be done with school hopefully at the end of the year. I'm not sure what I'll do with the extra free time when that happens. Also I'm not really sure what will happen with online poker in the immediate future so I'm going to play it by ear.

Sure, you are good at the pokers, but it counts for nothing if you can't spell triple.

I constantly think about the game outside of my sessions. I don't think it's possible to be a winning player in the games I play without doing so. I usually watch at least one video a day, usually before bed. I also watch every HSP and PAD as they air, usually repeats too if it has Dwan or Ivey. I also sweat my stakes a lot and learn a lot from that.

lol yeah. I'm thinking about mounting those both. The problem is my thermostat is right behind my TV so I don't have a lot of places I can really mount it.
