LOL, only just read this in 2012, only been playing poker like 1 year, so i only know Verneer as a good player and a coach for CR i think.

So when i first read this i was like WTF, is this the advice he was giving in 2007.... didnt take me long to realise when he mentioned being " cant be worried about Overquads to Quads.... its a cooler"

Yesterday, I stacked a fish with my quads when he merely held top fullhouse. It was so tempting to start sharing strat about quad mining...but I didn't wanna tap the tank. It made me think of this thread..and how solid and profitable quad mining is.

People think they're getting fancy by slowplaying 2-to-a-royal in this spot, but it's an ABC play - he'd have a better long-run EV if he just insta-blew preflop with this every time.

I would have folded if a 2nd broadway card had dropped on the in fear of the roayl draw. Luckily I avoided it.

TSM poker is making a comeback now because bluff frequencies are much lower now due to more rampant slowplaying of medium strength hands.

Mining coal, adamantite and runinte seems more profitable but can take longer. I prefer the long game instead of these short burst profits.
