I don't get it... I tried your method and lost a BI due to limp/folding and blinds Never managed to hit top set the entire session..

Nothing - you're doing it just right. You may have lost one BI, but in reality you would have lost MUCH more by continuing on with all those hands that you folded. Looked at that way, you're actually UP several buy-ins, thus proving the worth of this strategy.

Money saved by folding is just as good as money earned by winning the pot. Don't get discouraged.

one time I had 55 in a limped multiway pot from the bb. Flop comes 558r. I check to slow play of course. The turn brought the 8 and there was a bet and a call and of course I had to muck it because in that spot I know one of those idiot fish just hit higher quads on my ass. WTG cardgods for rewarding their open limping while giving me the cooler. But I am too smart for that ****!!!

This is hilarious. I had to do a double take and check the date, cause I'm villain from the last hand in the OP and haven't played that handle in quite some time, or FTP for that matter. I am just recreational, don't study or watch videos so I'm ok with the criticism. I think its hilarious that I actually specifically remember this hand from 3 years ago. My dad was visiting my house in FL and watching, he doesn't know much about poker but is pretty smart, and we were drinking and I when Hero raised PF I jokingly told dad he's got QQ or JJ 90% of the time. The rest of the hand was played almost as a joke for my dad, and although obv -EV, it was so worth it for the look on my dad's face at showdown.

I will also add that at the time you had some very serious glaring betting patterns.

Well, if you really want to open up your game you could consider mid-set mining, but generally that style of play is very high variance and only recommended for high-level LAGs who can think through the inevitable tough spots.

A+. The best was the hand where the op had top set against villains aces, because even though he played them horrible, he also played them great. And because the op is sarcastic to begin with, it double levels the joke of complimenting the guys play. 5 stars for op, flash of genius. However if you play 9 handed omaha, TSM is no longer satire.
