I didn't play any poker on this Vegas trip for the first time in a while. Did gamble a little bit ended up -22 on a few hundred ran through the machines so pretty ****Too Drunk and Tired to Make an April Fools-Themed LC/NC Thread**** imo on that front.

Spent a decent amount of time in my room actually and eating overpriced food at casino restaurants. I didn't document any of it b/c I've done enough TRs, no one needs to suffer through a boring work trip at a mid-tier resort.

I went to bellagio last night and while I was there I openly giggled at the security guard now standing in front of the Rolex store. He smirked when I asked if he thought they should have had someone like him there long ago.

Also stopped by Aria and realized I miss the place. I'm very much due for an Aria or Vdara stay - perhaps next month or for colossus in 6 weeks.

Vdara is my favorite.

Even if the little deli/diner they have is overpriced out the ass. #vegas

I'm pretty over Luxor as hotel - its served a purpose over the years when I needed a cheap or near-comp (damn resort fees) room for solo poker or for video work. However, it's issues as a hotel and the nickel & dimming (no more 25 hour room service, no more free late check out, no more free upgrades to tower rooms from the pyramid) has me put off. I think it's going to be Hard Rock at the minimum and then only nicer resorts like Bellagio, Aria, Wynn etc for the time being.

Doing just (barely) well enough in life to not deal with the bull **** and just pay a little more to be treated better.

Today is the birthday of a famous European leader, who was elected to his office first before he seized power as an authoritarian. He gets a pretty bad rap nowadays for his imposition of censorship and his harsh treatment of opponents, but he built a very solid infrastructure, and he made the trains run on time.

Spoiler:
Happy Birthday Louis-Napoleon III, Emperor of France

How many men does it take to defend France?

That guy was pretty nazi even by fox standards

I don't know, how many men does it take to defend France?
04-20-2017 , 01:41 PM
Nobody knows, because nobody's ever tried
04-20-2017 , 01:42 PM
Well, the same could be said for Denmark, but they have at least a severe lack of manpower as an excuse
04-20-2017 , 01:48 PM
I know France tried to defend the country from McDonalds using farm tractors, but I don't know if they were successful. Seems unlikely.

As far as Denmark goes - build the Lego wall is my suggestion.

I remember I was at a CDG airport McD and the staff did not understand any English. I blame Obama.

Just make polygamy legal FFS. As long as it's consenting adults.
04-20-2017 , 02:32 PM
Consenting adults is an overrated concept. It all boils down to market pressure

The French revolutionary army defended France just fine against half of Europe in the War of the First Coalition.
