limped every hand in SB

played underage and under rolled (seems to be the standard combo)

felt that bc i missed the past 20 draws i was more likely to hit the next one

edit: i also completely believed the whole "see your opponents hole cards if you buy our program" scam haha. never actually bought it though

played like a maniac off & on for a couple years, spewing money, joined 2+2, got pt, read some books, grinding it up without depositing anymore.

somehow, i seem to understand better where all the bad players come from now. and what they exactly think.

[x] im still a bad player

I got 50$ free at party and played 3.4$ sngs. When i lost 5 in a row it was time for tilt and sat down at 50nl 6max. where i effective raised 66% of my hands and c-pot-betted every flop cause i didnt care. Needless to say i had 100$ in no-time! then I raised QTo from the sb and flopped the nut straight and got in 3 way vs KK and J9o(for top 2) and they both had 100$ stacks to so suddenly i was a baller and with drew 200$. after that i try to do that again but lost everysing. obv , but i did make 200 dorrer with poker!

i also told my parents i was still using free money. Because they dont care if i play for money , but as soon as i deposite myself, im a uber degen gambling addict. lol hypocrits lottoplayers.

1. Check down any ace high board without an ace
2. Thought a bluff HAD to be an all-in bluff
3. Wore sunglasses to the $5 sitngo home games ldo
4. Bought in for short and thought it was fine because it was above the minimum

5. ACT OUT OF TURN OR FLIP MY CARDS OVER BEFORE RIVER BETTING (i got yelled at and chips thrown at me at the luxor in vegas for this because i did it like 8 times)

Single table, Texas holdem odds calculator, Min raises, mediumstacking to limit losses. The works. And arguing with a couple poker pro's why flat calling QQ, and min raising was a good idea because I want to see what the flops bring for cheap.

O yeah. Any time I lost a hand that I was 2 to 1 or higher favorite it was a bad beat.

I 3 barrelled at every single pot I was in. Cuz I 'had heart.'

Bankroll management was having my whole roll spread on two tables inc case I took a bad beat on one.

Lost five figures all in all before becoming a winner.

I thought my friend was a CRAZY DEGEN GAMBLER because he was 4 tabling $25NL (I 2 tabled $10NL).

Lost $60 on a bluff and tilted for 2 months after that. I even emailed Pokerstars to block my account.

best thread ever.

I used to play in those 3am and 6am freerolls, and was completely proud of me the day I won a $10 LIMIT HEMTT (BR was $87) for about $1,000 on Party when they Added 1k to they prize pool.

I had lost about $300 in $50 and $100 increments before this.

Ran that up to $1,5k and then went busto in about a week. I thought check-raising all-in for 100bb in a 10bb pot with TT on a J567 board was a good play. I also played some 200PLO.

Quit poker for a while until mid-2006 when I deposited $50, things have been going better. Wow, I just realized how much time I've spent in poker. I'm going to get off my lazy ass and win some money.

made ten dollar deposit after ten dollar deposit on PokerRoom. Played 5 dollar SNGs convinced if I wasn't seated as the cowboy or the fat/cigar guy, it was basically over before it began.

Then won an MTT and played 50 dollar turbo SNGs tell 5 AM. Thought about what I was going to buy with the withdraw, then thought about playing some more, then deposited ten dollars.

Been there man! But then I discovered the grandma seat. You wouldn't know it from looking at it, but that was totally the best seat.

Oddly enough, I've never played particularly poorly bankrolled for anything. Right from the lowest play money SNGs. The one exception was I didn't seem to think it mattered for ring games, and so one day, after taking my ~40k Stars play money to ~55k the night before on the 100/200 tables (max buyin 40k, though I bought in for 18k I think), I lost a bunch. Got down to 6k, decided to move down to 5/10 to rebuild. Lost a (200bb) buyin, was left was 4k. Annoyed at having lost over 90% of my bankroll in an hour or so, that had taken me around TWO MONTHS to build up. Moved remaining 4k back to 100/200 tables. Run it up to 40k. "About even for the day!"

The next weekend, I get a HUGE SCORE when I play in 500 play chip MTT with ~2300 entrants and get 4th for SEVENTY TWO THOUSAND PLAY CHIPS, giving me something like 115k in total! :O Over the next two weeks of holidays, I run it up to FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND play chips playing 2k SNGs. zomg 10fold increase in bankroll! One or two holidays later, I think doubling my bankroll every week is a reasonable assumption. Twelve weeks holiday? I should turn $500 into at least $10,000, right? (The results were turning $500 into about $650 over that time).

Would only play 2 face cards and only raise big pairs.

Always c/f <tp.

Was playing 1/2 home game - I limp QTo and flop was Qxx and he bet $10 and I folded b/c that was a lot of money.

would deposit $50, run it up to $100...cash out the $50

i believed i could never lose this way

would roll up to 500-1k sometimes, take it to a 5 10 NL full ring table in hopes of winning a $1,000 pot, b/c i thought that'd be the coolest thing ever.

i also played short handed 15-30 and 30-60 limit games w/ a 1k roll.

75% of the time, it didnt go well
