Funny, I only recently learned in the last 6 months playing lots of live 1/2 that this sizing, although on the bigger side is pretty standard. Oh man was I happy to not see a flop that day tho.
It makes me smile thinking back to that time. It makes me aware and on the lookout for that young 19 year olds first trip to the poker room. It's an experince that just sticks with you.
I have a running joke with other regs that we should dump a few chips to the 19 year old newbie as an investment for the future!
