Made me lol... I wasn't the only one then!

Too many $50 deposits to play $0.05/$0.10 full-ring NLHE... always played any 2-cards just like they do on telly (commentators always got super excited about people playing junk hands (especially when they hit their "runner-runner double belly-buster" (which they always seemed to do on TV)). Unfortunately those superb bluffs never worked for me!).

Got super excited if they hole cards were suited or picture cards (insta shove if they were both).

Was always pot committed / never folded.

Took me a few months to work-up the courage to sit at 6-seater table. (Always reluctant to do it as I assumed that as I'd be posting blinds more often, I'd just loose quicker!).

Never went near the tournaments... scary thought playing against hundreds, if not thousands of other players - if I kept losing against <10 other players in the cash games, how quickly would I lose my cash in a tournament? (Didn't actually understand that the entry was a 1-off cost - did I have to pay again when i moved tables?).

Ahh the blissful ignorance

Called other players donks/fish when I was just as big of a donk/fish.

This one is particularly pathetic:

As you can see, having won an MTT for a whopping $400 and change, I made sure to include the cashier screen in the screenshot to show how rich I was. Note the desktop background. It is a photograph of the actual desk my computer sat on, with some cards and chips on it. Ah the memories...

Played freeroll for 6 1/2 hours, cashed 1$, went to a blackjack table and lost it in first deal.

Started playing home games with my friends at 16, betting magic cards.
5 Card draw at the beginning, then mostly holdem, with 32 cards when it was four handed or less.
We bought in for Magic Cards for about $100, at one point a friend of mine was down 300 saproling bursts (about $6 each).
And sometimes we played with no blinds antes, because it was always raised preflop anyway.

Read Caro's book of tells, because it was obviously the most important poker skill to have.

Won a $114 SNG on a $150 roll, and immediately cashed out most of it because to keep playing with that money would be degenerate gambling behavior.

Called two shoves in front of me with 33 because I figured there was a decent chance they both had big aces and I had an edge. Which they did, and I won the hand, and felt real smart when someone said "nice play". Looking back it was probably a reg being sarcastic.

-after losing it all, took advantage of titan poker's 100% deposit bonus.. deposited 400, sat down at 400nl with 80. blew stack, instant rebuy. i dont think I ever showed a brief profit.. and cleared like 20 dollars before going busto

deposited $100 on empire (party skin), ran it up to $225 playing .5/1 lhe, then jumped directly to 2/4. (1/2 is for chumps obv), ran that up to $300ish, jumped to $3/6, ran that up to $1300 (WEEE), then jumped straight to 15/30 and busted it in less than an hour.

I remember thinking that I just didn't have enough bankroll to play 15/30... that I'd probably need at least $3000 (lol) to play that without going broke due to bad luck (lololol I was/am so bad)

lol me and my two friends would enter the freerolls on Absolute, the ones where you can win a Mark Seif bobblehead doll. We were all diehard set on being the first one to win one of those damned things, but sadly none of us ever did. I remmeber my friend Ryan was deep in one of them and my other friend and I were railing him talking junk to the other players. Remember when poker was fun?

Boring, but I didn't really do anything stupid except playing minbet instead of NL. Started with $5. After getting familiar with the stars software on a playmoney table, I 1-tabled 2c/4c FL FR and checked a starting hand chart to see if I could play the hand.

Party Poker, started out with $50 deposit. Did well grinding out the 5/10 Sng's to build a 500$ bankroll. Cashed out half, lost the other half playing "Party Bingo"

I started out taking advantage of that free $10 sign up bonus for Royal Vegas, 7Sultans, and Crazy Vegas. I lost on the first two tries, but I ran my CV account from $10 to $500 by playing the 5man sngs that paid out 3 places at first, and then 2-tabling $50nl once my br got to $150.

After getting to $500, I cashed out half and lost the rest.

I made another Crazy Vegas account and ran it up to a couple hundred and cashed it out to Neteller, then redeposited it to all of the other Prima sites offering 100% signup bonuses up to $30 (which they deposited into my account immediately). I had an okay roll going and decided it was time to cash out of Prima and into Cryptologic for their monthly 100% bonuses.

Upon my next cashout attempts, Prima realized that I had multi accounted on Crazy Vegas and proceeded to lock every single one of my accounts. I sent an email to every skin and told them to let me take my money and they will never hear from me again. All agreed except for one that I had made a deposit on but never played a single hand...

They told me I had violated the overall code of conduct and that I would not be getting my money back. I sent them an angry email and told them that I was going to put their customer service to the test. I was going to send them 10 emails perday indefinitely until they refunded my $30. I told them that the money meant a lot more to me than it meant to them and that I was going to prove it. For 20 days in a row I sent them several emails and they finally sent me a positive reply saying "We accept your withdrawal request and have credited your Neteller account with $30. As you have violated the Prima Code of Conduct, our tables are permenantly closed to you."

That was fine with me. I bonus whored thousands of dollars from Crypto after I got my bankroll on there. When Prima closed, I moved my money to Full Tilt and the rest is history.

Starting playing 5 dollar spread limit with friends from high school. Lost 5 BI's the first two times I played. Adjusted to the game and began reading books. Turned into a small winner and eventually a big winner. The game switched to NL, and I began to beat it even worse.

Took a shot at online poker as is standard in this thread: under-aged, under-rolled, and while shuffling poker chips. I began playing .5/1 limit on paradise. Was doing pretty well until one day I was down 20 bucks (OMG!) before I LC PF from Early Position with 42s and called 2 capped streets only to hit a flush on the river and take the "MASSIVE" pot. I of course hit and ran. I would build up my roll slightly, hit a small downswing, cash out my roll, redeposit a week later, and do it all over again. This continued until I began "crushing" (making final tables for a few hundred bucks @ a time) donkaments and moving up through the NL ranks.

I eventually decided to move to stars and deposit 600. I moved for the tournaments according to some book I read but that didn't last too long. One day I sat at 2/4 with 200 dollars and managed to doubled it. The next day I did it again. I would always BI with 200, set mine, hit b/c i ran like god, and then hit and run. Poker was pretty good back then. Eventually I took a random shot at 5/10 of course not buying in for the max and lost to some guy who runner runner flushed, so I withdrew everything and took a much longer break form online poker.

I slowed down in college but went bonkers during the breaks multitabling 2/4 NL on stars and wrecking lives. I played through the middle of the night frequently until one day my parents got pissed b/c I hadn't gone to bed and they had just got up. So I was forced to start playing during the day and then went on a sizeable downswing, and took another decent sized break from poker.

I began to play again during the end of my last semester of college. I started out multitabling .5/1, and eventually was mass multitabling. Recently discovered 2p2 and CR. Began to beat MSNL on stars. Haven't looked back since.

[x] still plays under-rolled
[x] still hit and runs when playing over my head
[ ] doesn't max buy
[ ] still shuffles chips at the computer
[x] <3 this thread and 2p2

Played like a hideous fish luckbox and won my first $1STT.

Thought some cards were luckier than others regardless of actual poker content they contained and had "feelings" that cards were going to come on the flop/turn or river.

Still play like a hideous fish, but seem to have lost the luckbox. No longer play STT so there have been a lot of changes in my game.
