Thanks for all the well wishes in the Bigger $109

Earned 9039 VPPs today and it really wasn't so bad. Just gotta get over the resistance and settle into the session. Accept that I'm gonna be there for a while..

I think today's video is especially worthwhile. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Thanks dude. Yeah I find it easier to up the volume if I reminded myself of what my view are and what's important to start the day. Been getting after it last few days.

VPP Count is 728,723

Hey man, all the best with your challenge.

I'm not really sure how to put this without coming across like a total fan boy and or cringe-worthy, but.. I wanted to let you know that even if everyone isn't posting or communicating their gratitude they're thinking it, well at least me personally. I think your videos are really inspiring, They've motivated me to work on my game and better my self as a person so please continue making them and don't remove them, I find some comfort in knowing I can go back and re-watch them.

great vlogs man! such a great addition to this thread. The one where you talk about

reacting to a certain outcome seems to really help me put things in perspective in regards

to controlling tilt when playing HU sngs. I feel myself get mad(mainly because of me making a mistake, or losing a ton of flips in a row) and then thinking about why im getting

mad and laugh because its so insignificant. I remember you from back in day of STT and i

think you were playing hypers on full tilt before they really became popular. anyways TL

DR and good luck on your prop bet!!

Dude, don't ever hold back or feel weird about giving anyone a compliment in life. Seriously, ever. If you see a stranger on the subway with some really cool shoes, let them know you think so, life will be more enjoyable. You might make a new friend, learn something new, have a cool conversation. Rarely will anyone respond negatively to you being nice to them, and if other people overhearing think it's weird, who cares? It's not weird. Speak your truth and DGAF what anyone thinks about it imo.

So thank you! Don't worry, the videos aren't going anywhere and I'll make more as I get inspired to do. I also get comfort in knowing I can go back an rewatch them. One of the awesome things about a blog of any kind, or even just posting your photos to facebook or instagram or whatever is that you get this journal of sorts for your own life, experience and thoughts that you can go back and re-experience whenever you want. If that collection also adds value in some way to the lives of other people it's just win-win.

Hahaha I had to rewatch to see what you meant If you're a poker player and there are things you don't enjoy doing, like cleaning your bathroom or mopping your floors, I absolutely think it just makes good sense to pay someone to do those things. You can literally work during the same time and make more money than you pay out and enjoy that time better. It was hard for me to get used to b/c I grew up kind of a latch-key kid doing everything for myself from a pretty early age. I still do lots of stuff for myself, like laundry and cooking and buying groceries. I find enjoyment in those tasks and I like them done a certain way. Other cleaning and stuff I'd rather just pay someone.

Thanks man, glad you're getting something out of my videos. I find that the less emotionally reactive you can be while playing the less you're thinking like a gambler (or a recreational player, fish, whatever term you like) and the more you are thinking as a strategist. Ask yourself which is better.

And yeah, BigGamesJames played a Super Turbos SNG or 2 on the ol' Full Tilt

Update below. Always nice to feel missed

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ooook, so day 38, nearing the end of November, seems like a good time to take stock of where I'm at and make sure I set goals for the rest of the month that put me in a position to be successful.

Days Left (counting today since it's 7am): 36
VPPs needed: 248,816
VPP/day: 6911.56
Rake/day: $1256.65

^This is technically the math, but it seems real unwise to shoot for the bare minimum. I need to be ahead, b/c I never know what can happen. The volume may not be there some days, my brain sometimes just absolutely needs to rest, sometimes I make a mistake in diet and I can't focus for as long. Things happen. Something could happen in my personal life or with my health, and any of these things could make playing on any one specific day suddenly a monumentally harder task than it would otherwise be.

I think it's wise to schedule a full day off once a week. I also would like to aim to be done on the 30th so I can prepare for new years (shave my beard and get a haircut perhaps) and it allows me 24 emergency hours. I also want to take off Xmas, or at least do 1/2 days on Xmas Eve and Xmas. Volume might not be there those days anyway, although games should be good.

For that reason I'm going to plan as if there were only 28 days left in my challenge:
VPPs needed: 248,816
VPP/day: 8886.29
Rake/day: $1615.69

Looking at this I'm just gonna set my VPP counter for 10,000 a day. I'll keep in mind that 8886 is a reasonable pace but I've been getting ~9500 on days I really push and I usually feel I can keep playing on those days if I needed to.

When I get in the zone and my unconscious brain sorta takes over and I'm just flowing and clicking, I feel like I can play seemingly forever. I usually stop playing because I feel that I've done enough for the day, I'm happy with my accomplishment, and perhaps I fear my play is starting to deteriorate. With this bet being a 47K swing for me, I think I can keep pushing a bit more in those situations.

It's very hard for me to get over my in initial resistance and get into a session. I am working to accept that I'm going to be in my chair, in front of the computer, for hours and hours. I am embracing the grind, but it's hard to do sometimes. Once I get past that and I'm just content to be there clicking, I need to keep clicking until my body says it's time to stop, b/c that state is hard to get to and I can't always count on when I'm going to get to have it. It's much more enjoyable to put in massive volume in that content flow state than one of reactivity or resistance.
