Ahh i'm back and forth on this one. Last year I deleted it off my phone and I thought about deactivating it entirely. Ran into annoyances when things use fb for their login and I don't have it installed. My current thinking is that Facebook is a fantastic tool, you just have to use it correctly. I've long felt that "Facebook Messenger" is the best thing ever. Anyone I've ever met that I need to talk to for any reason at any time I can send them a message, it's brilliant. This is especially important to me as I've lived a number of places and all my loved ones and close friends are pretty spread out these days. The news-feed can be pretty toxic, but with the new iOS update you can click "hide all from user" so pretty much I just started giving people the permanent eraser left and right. Eventually if your facebook is a collection of people you truly care about and want to interact with, cecking it can be a wonderful experience. That said you still need to exercise self control and only do it occasionally, not for extended periods of time, not to get some sort of emotional support or to fill some sort of void.

I guess it's something I've thought about a lot and have strong feeling on. The interface between face-to-face and electronic contact is getting more blurred all the time, and while I don't want to be dragged kicking and screaming into the next century, I think it's important to take time to figure out how these technologies can benefit you and how they could act to your detriment and then figure out how you'll choose to use them.

I'm not sure why that would be. I'll look into it. I know sometimes videos are unavailable at certain times. Tbh, youtube is a royal pain in the ass. It would be nice if it was simple and straight forward to just hit record on your device and upload with no problems, but I keep getting errors and other nonsense. I just did today's video using a new program (youtube's own "capture" app for iOS.) Hopefully it worked without a hitch? Please lmk either here or by PM if anyone is running into problems with the videos on my blog or youtube. I'm not gonna take the time to sort out old videos but I'll try to get each new one working correctly.

I'll try to check this thread and my PMs once per day. I want to keep it active but I can't let it become a distraction. Thanks again everyone and onward we go!

subbing this thread. vids have been pretty interesting so far and will probs get pretty solid around day 30 of straight poker for 8hrs a day.

Still haven't started playing yet (sigh.) Reviewing the 8 hands I noted yesterday. Felt like I played well and was able to push for more tables for most of the day, but certainly toward the end of my session I was making mistakes. I did a good job of not beating myself up over it, but it still made me want to get some study in today. I've accepted that along the course of the challenge I'm going to make mistakes, as so long as I'm aware and working on this I'm ok with it.

That graph looks nothing like my runbad graph this yr, did u randomly just play some ridic HS's games and run bad at them? Like that graph doesn't even seem realistic to me, not trying to berate you or anything, I'm just curious what you were playing.
