that sucks, i remember reading your thread a while ago and hoping you'd turn it around. i guess poker just isn't for people who have a certain mindset/mood.

can you tell us what kinda businesses you are attempting to run? since you're actually a winning player, do you think it would help to play but purely with the focus of money to fuel your businesses? it would prob take alot of the focus (and therefore pressure) off poker. im guessing though if you're still this crazy over it you should def stop playing.

If you cannot control yourself then poker is a bad game for you. If all the losing in poker makes you miserable then quitting is the right thing to do. Life is to short.

Maybe a good psychiatrist can make you realize that life =/= poker, or maybe he can teach you how to deal with beats. Just do something. the thing about poker is that everyone encounters inevitable failure, be it one lost pot or a 30 buy-in downswing, and those bits of failure set me off. this is coupled with the fact that i think about money 24/7.


i could have enough money for a 100nl roll, but its not for me right now. i dont think any of you truly understand how violent i get when i play. i mean they made me go to the hospital once when i obliterated my room and everything in it. there are worse things ive done but im not going to share them.

my plan is to go back to selling sportscards online. i can generate a decent amount of money through that and i actually enjoy it. i genuinely think enjoyment must be derived from any financial project (of any sort) or else you will be frustrated with it. i do not find the slightest bit of enjoyment when i play poker. quite the opposite, in fact.

i own two other businesses, one that i am sure could be huge, but i would need several thousand that i could afford to spend on them. these are not "retail" like selling cards online pretty much is.

i took off the $700 i had left on ub (after blowing through a ton) and i get my computer back from repair tomorrow. i miss the $500 winning days, but its comforting to know that i wont ever have to endure the $500 losing days either. you feel on top of the world one day, and want to die the next. id rather be moderately happy everyday.
