Taking Requests ITT (now Project MacGuffin) - Page 5

Alright guys, here's the deal.

Even though most of the suggestions in this thread are terrible, I still kind of feel like an ass for flaking out. I want to make up for it. Incidentally, I recently had a moment of inspiration. And idea came to me that, in my humble opinion, is brilliant. I have decided to move forward with it.

The thing is, the project will be a massive undertaking; far bigger than anything I have ever contributed to 2+2. So it's going to take some time, and I won't be able to do it by myself. I'm working on putting a team together. So far I have just recruited King Fish as a creative consultant.

I don't want to give out too many details on the project, but I will keep you all updated on its development in this thread.

I admit I was very skeptical when he told me his idea, but a few PMs back and forth led to a phone conversation that lasted....about 2 hours!

I don't want to ruin anything or even overhype it until we are sure we can get all the pieces in place to make this happen. I've pledged both time and money (yes, money) to SS to help him get this thing going. There are a few other people who have agreed to help as well, and there will be one or two surprises.

A lot has happened overnight. King Fish has been tremendously supportive and helpful. I can't thank him enough. We've got a pretty solid team organized now and I have completed a ton of writing. I was in the zone last night, at it for hours. But what's really great is that I could bounce ideas off the team, and they helped make it even better. It's true what they say: writing is revising.

We still don't have a title for this thing, and I think it's premature to give it one any time soon. So for now we're just going to call it Project MacGuffin. The project is in its infancy, and there is a lot of work left to be done, but it already feels like the pieces are starting to fall into place. This is going to be something special. It's incredibly exciting.

I came home today to a PM in my inbox inviting me to work on this project. As of a half hour ago, I am officially a member of the team. I'm probably going to be the lead audio producer and I'm definitely going to be on the microphone. I'm not going to go into any more details yet other than to say I'm working on a track right now in FL studio, and you should be working on acquiring a subwoofer if you don't have one already.

Let's not start a derailing argument with a few month old account in here. He has no way of knowing what's in store for him.
