Today has by far been one of the most lucky days in poker. I only started playing poker since jan of this year. After loosing some $100 initially I started to play freerolls exclusively, occasionally finishing in the money and quickly loosing it. I decided to put some $10 to get a feel for some real money sit n goes. I lost some money in the cash games and had 2.20 left when I played the 180 person sit n go on pokerstars. I won the tournament and got $108. I always loved playing HU so started with NL$1 hu tables and after playing a few tables was up at $300. Happy with my performance I increased the stakes to NL$2 HU . Made some money and quickly lost money and went back to $45. I played the NL$.50 hu and got it back to $100. I decided to increase stakes when I had more than 2 buy ins. So after a couple of hours i had enuf to play NL$2 again. This is where I got really lucky. I double up my buy in and then he goes nuts. He is re raising and betting crazy with any 2 hole cards. I wait for good hands and call him down. I make another $650 from the guy. I left the table once he started to play a bit more cautious and I dint want to risk all the money I had made.
I know bankroll management is important in poker but when I am winning I just want to keep increasing stakes.
back in the old days i use to play like this and trust me, you'll never make this kind of money this quickly using BRM, at least not at first. if you want immediate results you're doing it exactly right.
Spoiler:
Cash out 500 before you hate your life, seriously.
dont worry about bankroll management when you are winning. just play whatever stakes get you the money like 2/4 and 3/6. i also want to rail you, what is your site / SN?
brm is for impotent poker hobgoblins and does not apply to your situation WhstSoever...
Count your blessings and ride the wave... few have done what u have done... just remember that and use it as motivation when playing 2/4
