I haven't been on here in a while for a few reasons.

I left Cape Coral because I couldn't get along with Nicole's mother. She is a difficult person to deal with to say the least. I'm up in Venice binging WSOP FTs and spending time with my mother in long term care.

I have had a painful condition that has sent me to the doctor 6 times and the ER last weekend. I wont go into details but you can Google hydrocele for some insight. It's hard to do much until I see a urologist next week. I'd like to write more, but I need a better setup where I am right now. I wish I could talk to type, and may just do it on my phone.

In the meantime I appreciate everybody's support and enjoyment of the thread, it will continue in the future.

Sorry to hear about the health issues; for both you and your mother. I can't imagine its easy to deal with a difficult person (Nicole's mother) when you have enough on your plate as it is. Get well soon man.

I think I may have started reading this back in real time as it was being posted, but lost touch with 2+2. I'm from the St. Pete area and am very familiar with a lot of these locations and almost certainly some of the people (although I didn't frequent many home games and have never been a cash game guy). On page 12 now and think I'll finish in no time. You still local TST? Have you ever revealed your identity? I have a few educated guesses as to who some of these characters are, and I'm sure we know a lot of the same people. Great read, can't wait to get caught up.

Would anyone like it if I did a podcast/vlog that went over the chapters in more detail, maybe being able to give a little more background I couldn't do in writing? Was just thinking about it.

Okay, I'll get working on a first video, I am not a good editor though. Sweating one of my friends on the FT of the 3K NL on CBS, I won't say his real name but he goes by Debo. He used to back Dustin when he was grinding the tournaments around here, and came to a few of the games I had run with Mike at Vito's.

Ask Adnan "Halal" Mohammad to help out. He'd also crushes all types of poker games. Ever play with the new York poker king?

Was just listening to a news story that mentioned that Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, dubbed “pedophole island”, was lined with imported palm trees that cost $20k each and it made me think of you TST.

Given the niche industry I’m guessing you know something about those palms. Haha.

I imagine most of those palms were imported, meaning there were no palms there but were brought in. Guys like that don't seem to care too much about rarity, just want quantity. I know where the island is though, getting a contract like that is a literal goldmine.

Here I ask for a bit of help from the readers. There have been many of you who have offered to help over the past few years, and many who have helped. Thanks Shawn for getting most of the stories in a book like format, ATCguy for trying to retrieve data from my hard drive, CupofSalt for lighting a fire under me to get going again, ipuntstacks, Bart, luckychewy, wombat4hire, and many others for supporting this story. I have considered publishing this on Amazon through CupofSalt's advice - does anyone know other ways as well to best put this out there? I have put the entire book onto one Word document for the first time, it is 354 pages and over 242,000 words. I will probably start with Amazon, but didn't know if anyone had any connections with publishing companies. I really don't know what I am doing here and would like for it to get out to as many people as possible while not getting taken advantage of. If you have any ideas, please PM me, I really appreciate it, and thanks in advance.

I will definitely let everyone know when this book comes out. My main problem is I am not an artist, but would like a nice cover drawing, possibly done in a charcoal style. If you google the YouTube channel "Bedtime Stories", that is what I am going for, but open to options. I was considering asking the artist who does them for that channel, but if someone here would like to do some art, I will give a credit plus whatever you think is fair.

Thanks!

Hope you get this taken care of, many issues will happen if you don't. My son actually had a hydrocelectomy yesterday and he's doing great today.

Beat: imagine a 15 month old panicked and clinging to you while surrounded by 10 people in masks, then going lifeless in your arms from anesthesia, then being taken away to a waiting room for 2 hours.
Brag: some nice euphoria's when doctor said procedure went perfectly.

That sounds a bit scary, they told me its not worth the surgery. It has gotten about 80 percent better so I am hoping it will slowly fix itself. Glad that your son has gotten better, hopefully he won't remember!

I really like this. It might be the most unassuming poker book that I’ve seen. Can’t wait to have the paperback on my shelf. It’s the best poker story that I’ve ever read.

I’m going to place my preorder as soon as it’s available.

Here is the front cover, I am hyped:

Sweet cover art. Project is real!? Edited and gaps filled, arcs finished should make for a good story. Could even see each chapter as an episode on netflix

I mean poker, love and palm trees. Plenty of weird characters coming in and out, conflict, comedy, empathy.

Could be scripted and developed

Hey everyone, I wanted to make a post for the pre-order on the book which will go live on Amazon September 9th on Kindle, and paperback at a point soon thereafter. The pre-order price is $5.99, and will be $7.99-$8.99 once it has gone live. I believe September 5th is the pre-order deadline, so I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. This is the link to the pre-order:

CupofSalt aka Modern Julius on Reddit (Underground NY Poker thread) has been extremely helpful in getting this thing going. He made the cover and set up a lot of the publishing details that he has familiarized himself with the process more than I have. There is also a bit of editing in there. This book will be the first in the series to be published in the future as his story comes to maturity.

Thanks again everyone who has commented and supported the thread in any way, I really hope everyone enjoys the book as well! It does help justify hundreds of hours of writing over the course of the last three years.
