THIS. I lol'ed hard at the first two graphs.

edit: also, not very bad downswing for NL25 esp. after the overconfidence slide. I'll see if i can post my epic downswing where I ran up to 1300+ and THEN lost all profits over 3 months.

well I don't know if the downswing's over yet. as long as my AKs, AKo, AA, and KK continue to yield negative profit, I don't think it'll be done.

I guess I reexamined things and I've been doing a couple things wrong: 1. tilt calls galore 2. being sh*tty at valuebetting enough/correctly and 3. playing too many tables at times.

how'd you deal with your downswing/what were you doing wrong?

i used to be pretty good at FR and was a modest winner, even multitabling upto 6 (I know, a wuss number). I caught a really good run where I was literally getting premiums every few hands on every table for days str8.

Like any big downswing, i was quick to blame the bad beats and coolers (there were a lot of them) and a lot of tilty sessions where I would actually be up 1 or 1.5 BIs and then continue to lose it all close to the end of the sesh.

the worst part was, I had gotten numb to losing BI after BI at NL25. Don't get me wrong, u need to be numb to the limit u're playing, but before i realized it I had easily crossed -15 BIs!

I knew the reason was my LAGGy play, almost a certain no no at the FR tables nowadays. In hindsight, with my stats (around 24/18/3), I shoulda taken a crack at learning 6max properly (I had many failed attempts) but instead continued to bleed heavily in FR. My -EV shots at 6max were also not helping the cause and I didn't bother dropping down.

Now, after literally busting nearly ALL of my profits (yup, including rakeback), I am working my way up the 6max ladder from NL10. Doing okay so far, fingers crossed! FR is something I probably will never go back to, unless it's to get used to bet sizes, etc. for a new (hopefully higher!) limit.

btw, I suck at limit and omaha (****, gimme a minbet or 4 cards and I'll see any showdown), so I knew I couldn't build the BR that way.
