Reason: the one at Abbotsford would be the closest one to the afforementioned Edinburgh Gardens.
I tried pretending I was homeless once and it lasted about 18 hours. It rained the entire time and in every secluded spot where I might have been able to sleep, some other guy was already sleeping. By noon the next day I was footsore and exhausted and soaked to the skin and miserable. But I did feel a huge sense of liberation, so what the OP is describing is easy to understand. Buddha didn't "left the house" because he was dumb. Dude knew what it's all about.
Dude I hope you get what you need fast and get back on your feet.
I love/hate your threads... Get something happy in your life soon damnit.
Love/hate is the purest indication, thankyou very much. I will, sleeping in parking lots and being looked at like scum is not a sustainable way of life.
Scored a shower, cannot describe how grateful I felt. Currently have access to a power point which enables me to post. I don't care where I sleep tonight, that shower is all that matters
dude... as i said before, Edinburgh Gardens would be one of the better parks in Melbourne to park yourself for a night or three, supermarket right across the road (piedemonte's), grandstand to sleep in or a few other choice options..and on the mot part patrons of the park are generally cool people.
So do you have a home that you could go to if you like? Or is this more like trying to "find yourself" or seeing how low you can go before it motivates you into trying to become something?
Totally confused so far by this thread.
On the other hand, surely there's going to be some great stories for us from this experience. I tend to see at least one funny thing/day thanks to the homeless in Sydney.
