Is it normal for a poker player to not understand how to read a graph?

Yes it is possible otherwise people wouldnt have 50k+ hands downswings. Even crushers experience long downswings. The question is if it was only bad luck in your case.
Could be just variance but I guess you also have some leaks you should work on. Your blue line went up and then it looks like you struggled winning at showdown. Maybe you changed something in you games, maybe you played bad, maybe you ran bad. Dont know what stakes you play but you could try working on your redline a bit. Maybe you cbet too much (in bad spots) and maybe working on your game in the blinds could help.

How can you be breakeven at showdown? Just fold all rivers if you'r not sure about your hand strength.
