Hey All,

Did a quick search and didn't find a thread that seemed to be primarily about results/session tracking. If it exists, let me know and I'll post there.

with that being said, I'm on a pretty good uptick currently. Some of it is run-good but a huge part I attribute to making tough lay-downs... thus saving me 'x' amount, which translates to winning sessions.. not to mention limiting the need for rebuys. Examples would be folding bottom straights to huge pushes, folding flopped set of Kings, and folding pocket Jacks preflop after I 3! (not unthinkable but still tough/sucks to do). Nice thing is I've been 100% correct on these tough decisions.

Primarily 1/2 with a couple of 2/5 sessions sprinkled in.

Jan 18 - Present

Also can anyone help describe the Variance Chart? Maybe some examples? I googled ROR but I guess I'm too stupid to fully understand what I'm finding. The wording just seems to be confusing to me.

between this post and the 'taxes' post, I'm pretty sure I'm missing some inside jokes here.

Poker Bankroll Manager.. I like that I can update as the session is going, add notes.. makes review much more than just looking at numbers.

Variance chart is like sex OP. Sometimes you blow your load early and other times you last 5 minutes.

so you are updating this thing after every hand or you bring your assistant with you in casino?

don't need an assistant as I'm more than capable of using my own phone so I'm good there.

I don't update every hand. typically it's only the 'bigger' hands that I document... although towards the end of a session I can get a little lazy and I'll only add a note if the hand gets crazy or is unique.

I use the same app and am also questioning the Standard Deviation calculation.. these forums say 100 or fewer bb/100 is normal for NL Hold'em - but this app shows 200+ for me and even higher for you.

If you mostly play with a $2 bb then that means every 100 hands you will experience a $374*$2 = $748 swing

Also $12,398 over 255 hours played = $48.6/hr which leads me to believe you are deleting your losing sessions from the app lol

certainly not deleting losing sessions.. that would completely be counter-intuitive. I've just been running particularly well as of late.

May started off rough for me and I surely didn't delete the losing sessions.. I hated looking at the app during that time, but didn't delete.

and last night I was the bug and everyone else at the table was the windshield..
