Should I quit? 2nl GG Should I quit? 2nl GG

I am not making deposits anymore, but my BR is more or less same after a month of 4 tabling 2nl zoom. wanted to learn and play 2nl simultaneously, but after seeing my graph in poker tracker and with -5bb/100 over 90k hands i feel like quitting and returning to my tech job.

anyone willing to chip in their honest opinion about this would help a lot.

You're not losing a lot in terms of money. If you still like playing poker and are eager to learn, I don't see why you should quit just yet.

If you'd like to know what you can do to get better results, you might want to ask here. Make sure to mention what you are already doing, so peeps can give better advice.

You're not that much of a loser dude. I certainly wouldn't quit playing over that little bit of lost money. Maybe zoom isn't your game. I'd bet if you selected you game better you could already be a winning player. Maybe 6 max or full-ring cash would suit you better. I don't play on GG and have never played zoom but from what I hear it's not that soft or easy. I would think 6 max and I know for a fact full-ring is a lot softer even on Pokerstars which has tougher competition on avg/overall compared to GG.

So your choices either are switch games/game select better or pay for zoom coaching and study more at zoom if want to keep playing zoom and be a winning player. The thing is you need to win more then 2nl offers to pay for coaching. I personally in your shoes would switch games or game select better before paying for micro stakes 1 on 1 coaching. Maybe pay a good coach or someone(a 1-2 time fee) to review your hands and offer some advice on what to study to improve your zoom game. If you don't want to switch games.

Last thing I'd do is quit at this point. Things aren't that bad thru less then 100k hands.

PS. FWIW I likely would never quit if I was a losing player of such a little amount of money over less then 100k hands. Plenty of people pay ALOT more money then that monthly to do their hobby. So worst case and if you enjoy playing poker consider it a hobby. Currently for you its a very cheap hobby. Everyone wishes they had such a cheap hobby.

Cheers!!!

It sucks but I’d just learn some fundamentals first before you play again. It’ll be tedious and take some time but you’re doing the right thing playing at 2nl and just seeing where you’re at.

Thanks for the suggestion everyone. Will put more time in studying than playing.
