Just got the news that a (kinda) friend of mine and professional footballer (that's a soccer player for the US types) just got picked up by FC St. Pauli (2. Bundesliga)! Went to the wikipedia page for the team and was impressed by the supporters culture they have. I really hope it works out there for my boy.

Yeah St. Pauli is one of them people's kinda clubs deeply rooted in a dedicated fan base. St. Pauli itself is a part of Hamburg known for it's Red Light district and amusement in general.

when my paycheck hits on Friday, I'm gonna order a scarf, and maybe a couple other things from the St. Pauli store, hopefully my card works (had trouble buying from Europe in the past)

Gotta hang the curtain rod I bought this weekend to hold my scarf collection but it just seems like too much work...

Looking around the St. Pauli store website, I gotta say, I love the keeper kits. When I first got into the game back in 94, keeper kits were generally over the top looking, very colorful. Today's kits are just so bland, to see a kit that has a little of that old school flavor is really cool.
