I think you need to realize that the idea that "everyone is a fish except for me" is a bull**** idea. That might have been true back in 2003- but now the vast majority of players know what they're doing and have HUDs combined with poker-book-knowledge.

That fish that bet you on 2 streets then shoved on the river when he hit his runner-runner-straight... he meant to do that. You're the fish for calling.

Just because you have poker knowledge doesn't mean you're good at poker playing. Skylansky is one of the best poker authors ever, yet he hasn't won a bracelet since 1983 (for a whopping 20k or something... almost not even worth mentioning). Why is this? Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe it's bad luck. Maybe he knows everything about the game, but can't execute as he wishes.

Knowing /= doing.

They can advertise, sure. But I’ve learned in banking and sales, the easiest customers to sell to are the ones that strut right into your business. So imagine a middle-aged man, with a steady income, coming into a casino for the first time. Ready to gamble, or learn to gamble it up with the big boys. How exciting! Is this gentleman likely to come back tomorrow, or the next weekend? It really depends. It depends on how he did today, and how winning made him feel. The feeling of WINNING is the determinate factor in gambling addiction. If I lost every single time I played any particular game, I wouldn’t want to ever play again. So the casino has incentive to RIGG the cards, skewed towards the NEWBINGTON. Does a casino want Mr. Whale Newbington to continue to come into their casino? YES. Is it just for his $7 rake money that they absorb every orbit?? Absolutely NOT. Is it for the magnetic attraction that this Whale has that draws other people to stay and play longer? Absolutely YES.

I never knew a -55% edge is 50/50. If so, I'm going to stop passing up -30% edges, cause those must be big fat value.

Thanks KK!

Are you implying that the card shufflers can recognize each card value/suit? Uh........what about the dealer cutting the deck when removing them?

Obv the dealer comes with the shuffle machine or they go thru special training for cutting fixed decks LDO. Just quit poker KK please for your own safety so you don't decide to quit life.

As much as OP is a moron, shuffle machines CAN recognize each value and suit. It can also set the deck back to an un-shuffled deck. I have never seen it used at a poker table, but I have seen it every single time they change the cards at a Pai Gow or 3card table at Parx.

Interesting read. I read the OP and it was fun. Although I am not 100% buying in to the rigged non-sense, I do like to give OP a small benefit of the doubt. Our technology has progressed quite a bit.

There once was a time I was on God-mode at Foxwoods. My hourly rate was some $150/hr after all trip expenses and I was undefeated. Although I had losing sessions, I had never walked out of the resort a loser at the end of a trip. My total profit was about +$13,500. I couldn't do anything wrong. Was calling the bluffs right, was catching my sets (and getting paid), my overpairs were always set up against TPTK (or similar), just.. God mode.

That was up until November 2013. Since December 2013, or should we say my 1-month trip to Vegas, I am WINLESS at Foxwoods. And I mean, I haven't won a single session! My c-bets getting floated, sets getting cracked, flopped nuts getting backdoored, thin-value bets getting raised, bluffs getting hero-called on multiple streets geometrically increasing bets by bottom pairs, nutted range hand getting folded around. Just like, worst than if my cards were face up. I am now net -$6,600 at Foxwoods over the last year and a half or so. Or -$4K if you don't count trip expenses.

From +13,500 to -6,600. That's a 40 BI downswing without a win at a particular location. I was getting more outplayed than unlucky. But then the tilt factor made me try to hero call more potential bluffs, or bluff more at potential scare cards. I was wrong almost every single time.

All in all, if OP makes any sense, disguise yourself as a tourist who has an >average salary at a high-end career (financial consultant, actuary, software developer, business development, etc) and reduce the frequency at which you attend the casino. Your playing habits will be well hidden from other players.
