how is that guy on a 15 month breakeven stretch?

id rather be careless fwiw. lose 1k over 20k hands rather than breakeven for half a million hands. but if hes really getting 35$ an hour i guess that makes up for it

Hey there, at the moment I'm doing a challenge to play 600k hands by the end of the year, I had set out to do it at $25NL but then broke my hand boxing (mouse hand) and I couldn't concentrate very well, I didn't want to quit the challenge so I moved down to $2nl because I've beaten it pretty well before and I decisions tend to be pretty easy so I can still play through the pain.

As you can see from the $2NL graph above I made a name for myself doing really well at the micro's and I made some decent profits, although the majority of which was made before ptr began tracking the micro's.

It's been really tough for me over the past couple of years since being a member of team online as I have a huge target on my back and at the micro's everyone wants to try and outplay me. As a result I get 3bet more often and my steal and cbet success are really low. If you look at my ptr graph the peak is pretty much the exact spot where I had to change my avatar to my own photo and the tables I was at were highlighted in red, ever since then I've really struggled and if I'm honest with you I'm seriously contemplating going it alone next year.

I've put a lot of effort into my status, I've always been available to host tournaments and filled in for people who weren't able to host their tournaments during the wcoop and being a micro stakes player I get asked a tonne of questions which I've always done my best answering, in fact I'm pretty sure I've been the most sociable member of team online to people at the tables and the most value for money but that's the problem, it's just not worth it to me, I don't make big money like the other pro's do and with my girlfriend and I wanting to start a family next year I have to get my priorities right.

For the guy mentioning about the video's at the micro's I did make a couple of $2nl video's for pokerstars a few months ago and although I dare not watch them because they were my first video's from what I've been told by people at the tables their pretty good for 2nl players. You can access them by clicking on the poker school icon on the pokerstars lobby.

If anyone's interested in following my challenge progress check out my blog and twitter, both links are in my profile.

Takecare.

adapt to the situation and exploit imo. or play hu -> fish will sit you all day long. there are plenty of ways to take advantage of beeing a team online pro.

Chipstar have you thought about getting coaching?

Yeah I've had coaching and my games improved a lot but playing the standard way and playing the way I have to play because of the action I getare two different things, it's often -ev to cbet in spots where it'd be correct to if you weren't team pro. It's easy enough to say "I'd love to have the action" but until you know what it's like you can't make a judgement.

Re my contract I can't talk about the details, although I wish I was on that wage, I think the ft pro's were on that.

gl with your projects chip-star. I'll go with the obvious and ask "Why don't you play super weak/tight if you're always getting played back at by the micro stakes donks !?"
