I'm sorry but I can't feel bad for you. There have been dozens of cases like this and you should have learned from other peoples mistakes.

Don't stake anyone. In 99.9% of staking cases this is the correct decision, especially in cash game stakes. There's always a reason why someone needs a stake and most of the time it's because that person has money management issues and plays in -EV games.

Are you serious? He is a busto degen who obviously doesn't have his own money to play with. The game has most likely passed him by and he can't deal with stress of poker anymore, hence the degenerate PLO sessions. Just because someone used to be a good winning player doesn't mean he will be one for the rest of his life.

Yea, he was the dude with the creepy clown avatar. I played with him once or twice a while ago briefly and talked with him a little and he seemed like a nice guy, but this is just ****ed up. Pretty sure ive seen him playing 10-20 hu several times, which I beleive was also not allowed in the staking agreement.

I would continue to try to contact him and give him a week or two to respond and if you dont hear anything, I would probably try to get word to him in person since you have his address.

1) every player who needs a stake needs one for a reason that makes them risky. It's the nature of the business.

2) sympathy. Not looking for it. Try reading the thread before you troll.

3) lol at the game passing him by. He is easily one of the best mid stakes HU regs on stars. The ptr post earlier indeed shows that I am down $10,000 to rossa. This is almost entirely from HU play and I am a 6pt winner starting tables this year.

I knew posting in BBV I would get a lot of troll posts, I did so anyways because it gets more traffic than other forums so I took a chance. I'm done defending myself, I don't mind the trolls I just want the posters of posts like this to realize they have no idea what they are talking about.

I will continue to read the thread, but only comment if anyone has anything postitive to contribute in terms of helping with the issue. Thanks again to those who are trying to do so.

I was harsh on purpose not because I wanted to be an *******, but to prevent others from getting into similar staking disasters like you. I've probably read dozens of threads like this on 2+2 and everytime I'm amazed that people are willing to send big sums of money to complete strangers.

A good general rule is not to stake anyone unless you really know the person and know what you're doing. And don't stake for amounts you can't afford to lose.

If he can't stick to games he is +EV in it doesn't matter how good he supposedly is at NLHE HU. Based on PTR stats he is a huge PLO fish and a -3BB/100 loser at 6max 1kNLHE in 136k hands.

I have to admit that I did a similar thing to my staker, just on a way lesser stakes. We had a normal deal going for a while without any problems and, long story short, at some point in a moment of complete madness I went to PLO RUSH (instead of NLHU that I was being staked for) and lost a bunch. However, I let him know about him immediatelly and am still waiting on his decision on the matter, if he stops staking me I am definitely not going to run away and pay what I owe him, that is the least I can do. I mean how can someone live with that if they run away, I can't really understand. I owe the guy like 10x less and I feel sick about myself every single day, how much of a douchebag you have to be to be able to just dissapear when owing 25k is beyond my imagination.
