Hey guys

So I am playing on stars, shortstacking PLO(yeah not gonna get too much simpathy about this), the field has a ton of droolers so I am nitting it up mostly.

There is this one badreg who was annoyed I put a shark emote in the chat and started talking ****. Anyway like not even 5 minutes after I had put the shark emote in the chat and the guy started talking **** I squeeze most of my stack with the guy left to act on one of the blinds. Then he starts tanking and says in the chat that I only play QQxx AAxx and KKxx which isn't totally accurate but yeah I am not squeezing most of my stack with a garbage hand against a bunch of droolers.

I complained about this to stars and can you guess what they did? They adverted the player! That really showed him!
Really feels great to play in a room that cares so much about the game. They say the regular obviously didn't know he should do such commentaries. They feel a warning is enough and penalising him for tanking and commenting on my game when I got most of my stack in and a presumable fish left to act would be irrational.
Really how could the regular know those were innapropriate comments? I don't get why I even complained.

So when a reg who you don't like 3 barrels against the fish who he has seen call 5 times on the river with high card you guys can say to the fish the guy is never bluffing and get away with it the first time. How wonderfull is that? Use your one time wisely guys!!

Thanks so much for pokerstars for protecting game integrity! I also love the sense of pride and accomplishment I get when I open one of the coffins and it has like 24 or 57 starcoins in it. 57 ****ing coins!! How could you not love it?
The only thing I don't like about pokerstars is that the rake is to low. More rake is better!

Guys please keep the thread in a positive note and praise the best site there is. I know some of you guys don't like, but face it, Stars is the best site there is and we are lucky to have it!

Regardless of what you wanted, speaking to him seems the right thing to do imo. Merely telling him that he isn't allowed to do such things in the future seems the appropriate response to me. If he continues, then consider more harsh punishment, but a simple warning seems appropriate to me at this time.

And if he indeed convinced the fish to fold, then considering that you're short stacking, 100% of the current pot, guaranteed without seeing a flop is almost certainly a better result for you anyway.
Sure. So the guy goes into the tank when I got most of the stack in to announce that I probably have a good game? To me it seems pretty obvious. If a guy literally says I think this guy has x and y in this spot isn't that enough to ban someone? Some other guy in the chat already was calling him by a diminituve and he played a bunch of hours today and yesterday so he was probably a reg.
I don't want the guy to stay a week banned but like 1 day or a couple of hours seemed fair. Even if it was a chat ban or something, just not "hey buddy you shouldn't be saying what a guy has after he put most of his stack in and there are players left to act because you got triggered by a shark emote".

What would happen in a casino if you got most of your stack against a random and a reg who is obviously folding takes his time just to say "yeah he probably has x and y here"?

I don't care if it is a better result or not and it very probably was seeing the rake is so high. The thing is it cannot be much more blatant than this and I feel they are taking the piss just adverting the guy for something so blatant.

It means that they warned him. Presumably they said something along the linesof :
Oh my sweet summer child it was wrong when you tanked and said the guy probably has x and y(so he prob wasn't bluffing) when you had no real intention of calling and there were some randoms left to act. You obviously didn't know that saying exactly what you think a player has when there are people left to act isn't allowed.

They literally said, or well not literally cause I am translating but there really isn't really another way to translate this: Obviously this player didn't know he shouldn't make such declarations.

Sure the guy who spent a bunch of hours playing a couple of days straight and was being called by a diminutive in the chat by a guy who is a reg obviously didn't know that.

The dealer, or maybe the floorman would come over and tell him that he isn't allowed to do it. If he did it again, he'd likely get warned again, more harshly, or at worst he'd get removed from the game. But he'd never get removed from the game the first time he did it. Hmm, same as happened in your game at PokerStars, ..go figure.

He shouldn't do it. He shouldn't be allowed to do it. But it isn't as blatant as you seem to think it is.

There is a decent chance that anyone who does such a thing, really doesn't know wtf they're talking about, and if they're talking to a fish, there is a decent chance that the fish doesn't care or doesn't listen anyway, and if the fish does listen, see above where the guy probably doesn't know what he's talking about. It's all a big level.

You're upset mostly because even such an idiot knew your range pretty well. So instead of making such a big fuss over such a little infraction, why don't you stop being a short stacking nit, so that the idiots won't know your cards every time you enter a pot?

So you actually think the droolers give a single fk about your range? Its PLO, the droolers know ‘for sure’ that any four cards can win and AA gets crushed always. Droolers gonna drool, and short stackers gonna be Richards.

FU short stacking nit!! You have no idea how bad for the game players like you are. I know one at at local cardroom. It's a loosey juicy action game. But everytime the nit enters a pot, even as a limp, the whole table shuts down. Limp, checks and folds. None of the razzle dazzle blind raising. Several players at table will say something like "THAT's Kings or Aces" anytime the nit raises. Just to make sure the whales don't feel too stupid for calling off with KQ or AJ and such.

Dude is playing almost everyday in zoom probably playing more than 1k hands each day. I bet if a guy is a casino everyday and says that **** they would do something besides a warning, but yeah I can't be sure about that.
With bull**** like this if I didn't win, for sure I wouldn't play...

I am upset because a guy that plays everyday did a clear violation of the rules to prejudice me, got a warning and pokerstars says **** like "he obviously didn't know what he was doing" which is bull****. I would be happy with a bull**** penalty like 12 or 24hrs banned from the chat, but a warning and the obviously line is taking the piss.

As for being a shortstacking nit and fish knowing my cards that's bull****. Of course I am not playing many QQ hands in that spot and would squeeze good brodway hands and double suited **** as guys will both call most of the times and then have a hard time realizing their equity. I just won't have random trash.
I am sure you would be upset if some guy deliberately tanked and then tried to lessen your EV by trying to reveal your strat whitout consequences, but yeah I am super upset because a guy who still plays like **** against me "knows" my strat.

Started the zoom pool a couple of times and people seemed happy to join. Played less than 1% of my volume as a shortstack, don't insult others, never talk strat, but sure I am horrible for the game.

Even if I was always shortstacking what would be the problem? Like you aren't in it for yourself but to be "good" for the game. Give me a ****in break Dalai Lama.

Guys calling out others people's legitimate strat in middle of the hand(clearly violating the rules)? Great for the game.
