You can treat this thread as another one of those funny "poker is rigged", and although I'm typing most of what I'm posting here with all seriousness, I will not feel offended if you reply with a one line: [ ] poker is rigged [x] op is an idiot/donk.
I'm not trying to convince anyone, and I'm def. not quitting poker yet, so I don't know why I'm writing this because I don't know how can a sane person play poker when he believes the odds are set against him. I don't like being tossed by so called rationalists, but I won't mind it in this case.
Here's my dumb poker theory: Pokerstars, for players from some countries with limited poker legality and banking options, is maybe rigged. They prefer to "cleanese" funds from these players' accounts to accounts with wider banking options and mainly better legality poker-wise.
My story: I'm a bad poker player. I've almost never been a winning poker player. I'm a series-tilter. I know 90% of the theoretical aspects of the game, and have tens if not hundreds of thousands of hands under my belt. These two facts should allow me to beat micro stakes cash games and sng's. But no, I've never done that.
A lot of it is due to tilt, I admit. But to cut a long (boring) story short, I'll just let you know of my latest escapade:
I deposited $520 into Pokerstars 3 days ago. Lost $100 in a matter of 5 hours playing 10NL, mostly due to bad play and tilting.
But in my recent attempts to go back into poker seriously, I played HU Turbo SNG's, ranging from stakes of 3-11's.
BEFORE this time, I also strictly played HU Turbo SNG's, and each time I ran about 20 BI's under EV before going on tilt and throwing all of my money away. This happened for two attempts.
Today, I'm a bit older than what I was the last time I played poker, and I believe my hormones affect me a bit less. Yet I decided to be on the safe side and limited myself (using restrictions on Pokerstars) for $7 tourneys and below.
Here's how it went:

So yes, I'm a losing player. But here's the difference between being the losing player I am to the losing player I am on Stars:
$100, or 14.28 BI's. Within 3 days, or 157 games.
Standard? maybe. But every time after I deposit on Stars? how? how come I never finished a SINGLE HU SNG TURBO SESSION ABOVE EV?
Seriously, I may be frustrated but it's more sad for me. I don't care much about $500, but I don't throw money away. I'll play as well or as bad tonight, what would that mean? more money out of the window?
And this is why online poker is dying - no matter how dumb that sounds - there is no way, in hell, that I'll play 157 games live (I know it's perhaps) impossible and will run this bad. NO WAY. Too many players like me, that are not mindset gods, nor excellent players, yet not absolutely horrible crapshoots will eventually leave the game. (I'm up over $12,000 live)
Or, they will deposit again after their 6 month exclusion ends. And who makes the money? Stars.
I'm going to keep playing - hopefully optimally most of the time, hopefully without much tilt, and will try to learn as hard. The sad thing is that I still crave (not love) online poker. Maybe one day I'll laugh at this post, I sure do hope so. But for now, too many things add up.
Ok now go:
[x] op is a tilt monkey
[x] op is an irrational piece of ****
[x] op just wasted 5 minutes of life
[ ] Stars is rigged
[ ] sample size
(or, you can try to help me tackle this, although I've read countless stuff about stats, sample size, downswings, etc..)
