I decided that I wanted to hate life for a little bit and decided to play a little poker on GG. I like PLO but am somewhat new to it. I have found the games there to be rigged. I have found very little information about the odds of set over set in PLO or something similar. I found what it is in hold'em so would I just double it for PLO? Like I got stacked when I had queens full of 7s and lost to aces full of 7s.

My hand Kh-Qh-Qs-7c

Board was 3c-7h-Qc-Ah-7s

money went in on the turn and it's impossible to fold a set of queens with the nut flush draw. I knew he had AA though because it is GG.

the odds of QQ and someone having AA is 2.8% or 36-1 plus set over set is 2% or around 50-1

Both happening in one hand? 0.0004%

What's more likely, this 0.0004% happened or GG is rigged? I think we all know the answer. This was about 5 minutes into my first session. Pretty standard for GG. 0.0004%. This wasn't a freak thing either as the last hand I played on GG a couple days ago I got busted by the same scenario. Set of QQ no good to set of AA. 0.0004% happening twice in a span of about 500 hands?? No chance this site is random.

GG just had a hacker who broke in and could see cards etc. Truth is hacking is a bit superior to the security and has been for yesrs. You could prob buy exploits to GG and hack it yourself. Pokerstars went down and they had to postpone the main event. about as fair as Tinder.

I don’t think you understand PLO. Set over set happens constantly. I hope this is just a joke of some sort…

He said he's new to it. It's a little hard to get the small sets are garbage thing into your brain at first, if you've played tons of hold'em. Practically speaking I'd say set over set is like 7 or 8 times more frequent in PLO v. NL.

You were scammed. I had lost to a higher set once playing 5 card and that was 3 years ago. Email their customer service for a refund, post haste

lol at being surprised at set over set scenarios in PLO. What's next, bewilderment at the PLO5 tables after you find out your straight got beat by a better straight?
Seriously: it happens all the time.

Using real math, do you really think the games are rigged or do you think you don't yet understand PLO and are playing bad due to bad variance?

Here is a hint, the game likely isn't rigged.

You didn't state position, bets, number of players, stack sizes, blinds or anything else to give more information. Your hand only had 3 of the 4 cards playable. Single suited with possible flush, straight, straight flush, full house and quads but that was only playing 3 of your 4 cards. and only 1 of those hands would be pure winner with a straight/royal flush. The 7 gave you a disadvantage from the start.

Without any other information I would have tossed this hand.

Good players don't need any of that information. If you're worried about that stuff then you're the sucker at the table.
