You could rebuy once; same ratio. At first break; They let me do something called 'add on' which let me add chips on even though I didn't go bust.

I like the tournament style; but it came close a few times; at one point it was 'win this hand, or bust', then I had a decent hand in 5th, decided if I lost that hand, I'd still get a prize, so I went all in. One guy called. I felted him, and survived long enough to watch another player get knocked out. At that point it had been like an hour so I was pretty bored and ready to call it quits so I went all in with A10o get called with KJo, and he makes a jack pair on river card.

I like the tournament style a little better than cash game style, because it means more when you felt them. I can imagine a real tournament at a live game would be a nightmare to navigate. I hear they get hundreds of people per event. That would be such an obnoxiously long time to play poker that I don't think live tournaments are in my future, despite me liking the style more.

I have needs; cigarettes; coffee...and flipping between tabs watching Doug Polk, Blackrain79, and Brad Owen videos.

Top 50 make $$$.

OP I am posting here because I feel bad for you that nobody posted in your thread but I do have to say that nobody cares about your participation and poor finish in these tournaments.

You'll notice after flopping the nuts I waited to call him. Gives the illusion that I had to think about it; that I wasn't sure.

When the possible flush draw flopped, I didn't really care; but would have folded if another spade showed up. Then once I had him committed to the pot; getting him to go all in at the end was easy.

I'll get the actual nuts one day. Not today; but one day.

I got into poker in January. You're correct; I'm not flopping quads at the MGM grand for 20k/40k sb/bb, you're absolutely right I started with fake money games...Why on earth would anyone gamble without practicing the game first? You're right, I'm not nearly as good as most players. Now what? At what point does this forum open up and start talking about the math of poker? Where can I find that? Where specifically can I ignore all the bullshit and find the people talking math?
