I do think you have a slight edge in this no one is talking about, and that is I assume you are going to do everything in your power to make sure PTR tracks your hands, and other regs will likely not be doing this. This may lead to close to 100% of your hands being tracked, vs XX% from the field.

Even assuming this, I think 6-1 (or 10-1 even) is more than fair, but I don't think you are DOA by any means. Although this bet does bring to mind Sky Masterson's quote...

Received the $30k. The 1% escrow/judge fee comes out of the ENTIRE pool. So yes, if you are betting $30k, I get $300. Frankly, this is just part of the deal and corresponds to the risk I take escrowing, the time investment I've put in to setup rules that are hopefully bullet proof, etc. The fee corresponds to the amount of money on the line and was based on my hope that silent_0ne would fill his action. The last prop bet I was brought into judge I basically got almost nothing for what turned into 60-80 hours of work, that won't happen again. :P

If you're uncomfortable with this, let me know and I'll ship back your money. Same for anyone else.

the 1% for jalex is completely fair and neccesary, it is protecting both sides here, and ensures we are getting a high quality judge. Sure, we could get someone for free but they wouldnt do nearly as good of a job. A 1% standard fee in bets to the judge/escrow that can only have the position by having full approval of 2+2 community is fair and should be the standard in all bets of this nature/money on the line. This is much better in my opinion then people offering to tip a judge after they win their side of the bet which could create many more problems.

if i had $30k on the line, i´d prefer havin jalex over any other judge (i recognized). $300 wouldn´t change anything about that.

Yeah sorry to be a nit... I'm ok with a fee, but with the 6-1 odds I am effectively paying a 6% fee, not 1%. I'm not really thrilled with paying for half of the total fee when my $30k bet represents the same amount of work for a judge as a bet of $300. Whatever, not a dealbreaker. Not really sure where else the fee would come from.

Which makes his (and your) effective odds ~6.45:1. Pretty sure anyone betting $30k at 6:1 should be comfortable at ~6.45:1 on this bet. :P

The fact that he's taking a big chunk of action doesn't materially affect the work/risk involved in judging/escrowing. Additionally, I'm not willing to shaft the rest of the bettors by negotiating on the fee, it's the same effective % for everyone, the end.

Definitely no need to be sorry, it's a legit question and I want everything above board.

It's not a matter of the work involved for ONE individual, it's the overall work for the entire prop that determined the fee.

Is it even worth it for OP to email someone at PTR the link to this thread with hopes it might encourage them to put in any extra effort possible (if any extra effort could be added) to have their stats as close to accurate as possible? Maybe knowing their site will be under a lot of scrutiny this month (not that there isn't always, but accuracy will be at the forefront on this thing) will help ensure OP doesn't miss out on winning sessions...i dunno, couldn't hurt right?
