No, you don't get it. It doesn't matter what OP's actual winnings are. This is a simple bet. OP either wins the Dec 2010 100NL UGL or he doesn't. Actual profit and loss (and hence the accuracy of PTR's tracking) is totally irrelevant.

hey, obviously im going to say this, but im never going to cheat! there is definetly more of a risk of cheating happening AGAINST me, rather then for me and if people are concerned with cheating on my end, I would be glad to put up double the money that will be paid out if I lose because i am caught CHEATING!

Open to other suggestions on this. Frankly, if I was betting against the OP, I wouldn't be too upset if there was a brief interruption in the webcam, but it would probably make good sense for him to have a backup plan for the webcam in case his first streaming host went down.

I'd rather NOT see the bet extended, if there's any other option, so hopefully the folks betting against would feel the same and ignore any brief interruptions. We'll see what other suggestions people have, as long as we nail down intent of the parties prior to the bet starting, I'm content.

Also, I got one question in terms of my references, so just to address that, I've been around a long time at MSNL/HSNL and have alot of folks that will vouch for me....CTS, Krantz, WiltOnTilt, MacDaddy, etc.

Well it theoretically can, because if the bettors agreed to it, let's say if Silent_0ne didn't play for 2 days in the middle of the month due to a death in the family, the bettors could agree to lock the leaderboard at the end of December as far as the competition and take his actual results on stars for the first two days of January in lieu of the two days missed in December.

It's not ideal, but possible. I also wrote that rule up when I thought the bet was going to be comparing his ACTUALS from Stars against the leaderboard, and he decided not to proceed with the bet under those conditions.

edit: as for the webcam issue, i doubt there will be any problems and in case the webcam is ever off for a small period of time while I am playing, bettors can call me or something to verify but really Ill just stop playing and fix any issue with the webcam.

I'm just gonna throw something out that you could use incase you feel like you need to extend the bet a bit and add some days in Januari.
Once he's done in December, compare his HEM stats to the PTR stats, if it's 100% accurate then take the days from Januari that you want to add and just add 100%, if PTR only shows 75% of your hands in December, then take your Januari days and only add 75% of their real value.
Of course one may say that it's easier to make money the first days in Januari than in the middle of December. But still, this could be somewhat fair.

i really don't want any bet extensions because it would be lame, especially over like a 2 hour webcam failure or something. however if by the rare chance there is a need for extension (like a family member dies midway through) then what you are suggesting is a good idea.

this is a cool bet and i hope i dont have to back out of it but i need enough action to attempt this. fwiw, when i first thought of this bet in my head, i didnt do any calculations and just estimated the line was somewhere around 10 to 1. what do I think now? well, i think ive lost alot of confidence with regards to being able to accomplish this bet. im sticking with it just because I feel obligated to attempt this (assuming i get enough action). do I know if I will even show profit in december? no. i was -0.67 BB/100 over 400k hands on a euro site. someone even made a side bet with me that i wont get over 3k profit in december! on top of that, of all the sites I could have picked to compete for the leaderboard (ipoker, fulltilt, bodog, party poker, ultimate bet, etc) i decided to pick pokerstars, which holds the lowest winrate per player.

i know people feel discouraged to put money up at 6 to 1, but i cant change that unless i change the bet altogeher. two players that i play with on the euro site have bet against me, and a friend has bet against me. also, when you think about how rare it is for members of the commuity to bet at 6 to 1, the fact that people have bet at 6 to 1 in this thread shows that this is a tough bet. its quite a unique bet in the fact that its not player dependent like 99% of all prop bets on 2+2. this bet has tons of variables and im taking a pretty big gamble with it!

I'd say it's still easier to get UGL on Stars/FTP than on most euro sites... Multitabling is much easier and PTR tracks like >90% of the hands, while for some smaller networks it probably tracks like 50% of hands at best, so you'd actually have to win much more to get UGL playing on smaller networks.

(could actually be more accurate nowadays, but at least less than a year ago PTR missed half of my hands on iPoker)

alot of the guys that usually place high on the ugl at nl100 will be grinding even more this last month because of sne/bonuses or whatever they might be trying to go for, plus ptr sometimes just might miss a session or hands or whatever and it will just stress/tilt you out so ****ing much that it could have an adverse effect


With the recent happenings in some prop bets it also kinda makes it easy to potentially chip dump as well but you can easily look at money won from during the prop bet and make sure nothing went down with the top people to check against this
