Specifically didn't bet on this election so the betting gods would not interfere with it to screw me. Now wishing I put my money down during primaries when Trump was going at +2000...

I had this exact thought last night. I remember having that conversation with a friend while looking at futures bets a year ago and the "lol yeah but he'd never win, that'd just be burning money"

I took Clinton winning in a landslide a few months ago, but I was given great odds. On top of that I *almost* bought Trump at 6.7 to 1 within the last month at one point, but I also thought this odds were incredibly low at that point, so I passed. Crazy election.

If you lose with aces versus kings are you never gonna bet on aces again? It's gotta be something around 99% of elections the pollsters have pegged so if I was you I wouldn't pass on the other 99 after catching the one-percenter. One of the best indicators that polls will fail is when xenophobia is highly involved in a campaign ... as this is a very secretive thing and is not revealed candidly.

Maybe you are joking about quitting but elections have been one of the closest things to locks on the card.

I wanted to bet 1k on Trump before he even won the primaries, but couldn't find any bets available online. If he was really going at +2000 then that really sucks. I also wanted to bet 1k on the cubs winning the world series, but didn't do it because I didn't feel like moving my poker money over to my sportsbook account. Now I'm kicking myself for it.
