sounds interesting but i think 3:1 arent really good odds.
you just need to be disciplined with playing 8 hours or something like that daily ( like millions of people over the world and for less money )
how much is your bankroll? can you post your results in cash games?

maybe with something like having a positive winrate through the challenge will be good for 3 : 1 , without that i'll say 2 : 1

Also are you willing to make public on what your bankroll will be for playing or how many BI's you have? Because there is a chance you could go bust before it finishes.

What do you mean by this question? He is willing to do 30k in action (at least in the beginning). Could you please elaborate?

Most people have put him at a very low chance (some at >1%) to complete such a bet. I am almost certain he is taking the worst of it by a pretty good margin (however I am biased).

Leatherass attempted SuperNova Elite starting in January of last year, and he was a pretty Epic grinder. He only hit SuperNova Elite in December. I believe Nananoko is just on pace to complete Super Nova Elite 24 tabling everyday. So to put the odds at 2 to 1 seems like a stretch. Anyone who has attained SuperNova Elite (I believe there are only 150ish in the world?) jaws would probably hit the floor seeing this bet.

Overall I believe the bets odds to be fair for both (any higher and just on principle people probably wouldn't bet), and it will prove to be an exciting challenge.

This shouldn't be a problem.

With his avg the past 6 month volume being 100k hands, and his best volume month ever being 150k hands, and with approx 5.25 months to go, it will be as hard as most think.

this is not the case, read the legislation forum...

it is entirely possible that online poker will look very different (if not non existent for US players) within the next few months.

3/1 is not a great line for a volume bet that sounds achievable with moderate dedication, but good luck to you, because obv. it won't be easy.

Moderate dedication is a bit of an understatement. And saying he is only a 2 to 1 dog to complete this type of a challenge feels a bit off.

He can increase the volume of the tables he plays to 24, so I'm not implying he can't or won't do that. But the last few days when attempting 24 tables he swung down and felt spewey, so he has currently decided against it. His current number of tables he plays is 18 (this is approx 2-4 tables above what he has done the past 6 months).

I am a cash game player, however I play on ub, not pokerstars. An avg figure would be 100 hands an hour x 18 tables that would = 1,800 an hour.

I'm not seeing anything in that forum that supports this...care to give a quick synopsis?

I think 3-1 sounds pretty fair actually if you highest volume ever is 150k hands and you live in sandiego and arent gay

Hell I have 300k more vpp then you do and I dont think im going to make SNE so good luck lol

I would only consider betting if the bet stipulated profit > 0. If OP is getting 90k for winning the bet and 120k from supernova elite that's 210k profit or the cost of doing nothing but folding for 420k hands at 6-handed 1/2 tables making the bet a freeroll about 3/4th of the way through it.

He could seriously angle shoot this by doing poorly the first month or two, jacking the odds and being able to freeroll like half way through.

incorrect, assuming he is going to be playing all fast tables, if he plays 24 tables it would be around 1.7k hands an hour, and that would be 24. Also the 1/2 fr players on stars are SO SLOWWWW so you would have to factor that in as well

edit: if this is 6max which I think it might be then those numbers are obv wrong, if you are planning to do 18 fast 6max tables then it should be a little less then 1.8k an hour from my testing of it, but if you have to show a profit I would bet alot against

Chances of success: ~0
Chances of success if profit>0 stipulated: 0

imo
Couldn't summarize it any better than this. Zero chance of success, anyone saying this bet is too easy is out of their ****ing mind.

I am reading that 70 hands an hour is about the avg now on stars from this source, from our first unofficial thread above posted by TheJackale. I believe this is a more acurate hand sample per table per hour on Poker Stars. I'll let Stalrock confirm in the morning. Either way you now have a rough estimate.
