I just got back to back AA v KK at a 9 handed table and lost both. What are the odds of this happening? I think back to back AA v KK alone is in the 10s of millions but I´d like an accurate answer. ty.

Well, let me put it this way: The odds of losing AA to KK is about as likely as a cat willingly jumping into a bathtub filled with water. Sure, it could happen, but it's not something you should count on. Unless, of course, you have a very cooperative cat, in which case, you might want to consider playing poker with your feline friend. Who knows, maybe they have a natural talent for the game.

But the odds of losing AA to KK back to back is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, while blindfolded, with one hand tied behind your back, and a parrot squawking in your ear. It's not impossible, but it sure ain't easy.

One thing to remember though, in poker just as in life, anything can and will happen.

The funny thing is that op winning those hands he couldn't care less. Just your typical fish.

The question doesn't really mean anything. The odds of it happening on the next two hands you play is in the 10s of millions. But that's not the same as the chance of it happening any time in the next 10,000 hands you play, or any time in your poker career.

This kind of happened to me years ago. Mid 2000s playing 2/3 at Oceans 11. Sit down with 300 and my second or third hand was KK. Chips all go in pre, 600 pot and I lose to AA. **** happens, buy back in 300.

Literally 2 or 3 hands later I pick up AA. Chips all go in again pre and going against KK. Flop comes and in the window is a K. Lose another 300. I didn’t even make a full orbit and I already dropped 600…

I walked out of the casino 15 minutes after walking in stunned. Never forgot it.
