this is a tough tough call and hardly ever standard, but it happens.

i've made a similar call with j high live against a super LAG. From what I could tell I put him on a small straight draw, it didn't come, he shoved the river and I took a long while before calling, he said "****, i can't believe he called for the chop..." and insta mucked, and i won without a showdown. J high is always good imo.

Even if this call is somewhat +ev, it is still sad to lose when a guy decides to call you down with J high. I was once called with Q high in a big pot, it felt terrible (tho I didn't chat about it ofc, when we are about to be done with the match I asked if he misclicked).

Also, there is a lot of Ax two pairs and some Qx two pairs in his range imo. But I guess OP had a phenomenal read? Anyway, it isn't as good a call as reading this post would have you believe. And it certainly isn't as much +ev as the actual pot.

I have some sympathy for the villain. Chatting about it is ofc ridiculous. Wtf, he called, move on.
