Not saying it'll always be right though, but situations definitely do come up where J high definitely looks like the best hand.

Eg. board with AKQ & you got a read your opponent is bluffing. Atleast 50% chance he doesn't have a pair so J high is good.

Sounds like your bluff was ill-considered, if you can't get even worse hands to fold. Much better to call it a thin value bet.
