I forget that it makes me happy when I write something that I like, and that feeling is multiplied tenfold if someone else likes it.
That's the last big story btw. There's a few little ones that aren't nearly as eventful that I'll try to wrap up in one shot at some point.

One of the things that makes this story such a treat for me is that I sense an ambiguous feeling about your adventure, SJ. On one hand I think you are proud of yourself for pulling this off, especially given the state you were in at the time. Hell, who wouldn't be? On the other hand, though, it seems that you perfectly realize that you made so many -EV decisions. And what if they had measured a slightly higher alcohol level?
Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to sound like that judge. It's just that you seem a bit like a wise, old man who appreciates the yolo'ing he has done but wouldn't go through this again for anything in the world.

Just a combination of incentives and disincentives added up and got me to leave. I have to save the details for the epilogue, though, as I'm almost out of stuff that happened.

Having conversation with a friend and he said meth was basically just speed cooked up into a rock and smoked? How would you describe the rush when you light up the pipe? With crack it is a intense high for about 5 minutes that then fades and leaves you wanting more and thinking everything out to get you....

Methamphetamine is chemically and functionally different from cocaine. The high lasts a lot longer in just about any application. It was used by the military on both sides in World War II--soldiers could stay awake longer and march further on less food. After the war some of the guys brought it into professional sports, and major leaguers were using it for a while before it was banned.
It was also sold over the counter as a diet pill--probably the most effective diet pill ever made.
Any paranoia comes more from staying up for days at a time than from the drug itself.
