Do you remember goran ivanisevic winning wimbledon with the invitation to the tournament, so called wild card?

****ing hero, we are not weaklings like denmarkians or something.

He won some silly australian rafter in the finals. It was very emotional. He said this one is for my friend who died in 1993. He was the best european basketball player. His name was Drazen Petrovic.

Afterwards, whole nation drank for 7 days or something. Very nice.

Fid- He did alright got runner up in a few other wimbledon's. Theres numerous players that got in the worlds top 5 or 6, that barely made a grandslam semi final in their respective careers.

Also Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki lost in the 2nd round in New Zealand yesterday to some unknown 18 year old. Pretty standard

Goran is a ****er not a sport geek, that comes with a price certainly.

However, he achieved a lot, he was no.2 behind sampras iirc.

You should have seen that ****er when speaking on tv about the recent match, id he lost. He would start coursing on live tv, speaking with god and stuff. Real comedian. Tennis miss idiots like him these days.

He got to world number 2 in 1994 and was a constant in the Top 10 in the from 1990 to 1998. But never won a major.

That's underachieving to me. To be a Top 5-10 player in the world over 9 years and not win one of the 36 majors is pretty ordinary.

He was super talented and had one of the all time great serves.

He was my second fav non-Aussie after Edberg, so I say this because I remember wanting him to win.

It was good to see him win one after his peak, but he really should have one a couple early in his career.
