I invented a new poker game; the perfect hybrid between Hold Em and Omaha Hi Lo 8 or better.

My poker crew is evenly divided about whether it is the greatest or the donkest game ever. I will not rest easily until it is a bracelet event at the WSOP.

SLAMAHA:

Each player gets dealt 3 cards down. Flop-Turn-River just like Hold Em. Hi Lo 8 or better split pot just like Omaha. The twist is you can use any combination of your 3 cards.

So, thumbs up or down ?

How do you come to this conclusion? Can you prove optimality for your specific Poker hybrid? And how do you rate a hybrid Poker game in the first place?

A guy was talking about reverse Omaha (named Nebraska) where you play three from your hand and two from the board. I thought it sounded insane.

The thing about flop games is that everyone knows what the nuts is. In this dumb game a player can't be sure therefor won't work. imo.

You would need to flop basically nut hands to even continue post-flop. And quads isn't even all that safe in that case.

Any A2x would crush. Basically only play that, muck everything else.

The nuts is AA2

So, sit around in a circle and chop the blinds until two or more people get A2x hands.

Continue until all players are dead, from natural or unnatural causes.

Every time I play Omaha I have to hear 'Omahaha' multiple times/session. With this dumb game it'd be 'Slamahaha' and the urge to punch the offender in the face multiple times may be more than I can control.
