I am looking at getting a monitor.. currently have a sony vaio laptop.. will i have any problems? I really don't know much about any of this so any info would be appreciated

i play on a 50"... i will never go back to regular monitors.

i don't like overlap, i like default size, and i like to have room for ie and aim and winamp and my excel files and everything else.

standard laptop+ monitor. 22inch lg widescreen.


since everyones posting their tv's: 42" lg70 .. 120hz refresh rate is fantastic. going to hook my laptop up to it and see how multitabling goes on that.

I'm such an idiot. I've had that same tv for the last 6 months, and didn't realize it would be that sharp as a monitor so I haven't even tried hooking it up.

Don't think I'd play on it anyways though, usually use it for movies while I play on my laptop.

You have 4 monitors all different colors/brand size. Your TVs don't even match for Christ sake. WTF were you thinking when you made all these purchases? I hope 3/4 monitors are stolen/gift and the same for one of your televisions. If that is the case I apologize and I'm sure you're taking steps to clean things up. It isn't as baller as much as it is tragic. Do yourself a favor and give away 2 of your monitors and a TV and start over.

I'm not a gay interior decorator but if I was I'm sure I would vomit up the semen I guzzled last night if I were to witness this abomination in person.

Edit: Sorry. And as for your background? I liked it...in 1994 when I had it on my Pentium II Packard Bell. Do me a favor and look around your room... What is our problem here? Yes, you're right. It does look like an 11 year old boy decorated the place. First step is identifying the problem then you know... I'm not trying to ONLY pick on your pad dude. You know you can do better than this. "But I have 2 televis..." NO! That doesn't matter. Pay someone $200 bucks to come out and hide your wires in the walls AFTER you decorate the place.

I'm not going to insult you and say you can't get laid so you can't get a GF in there to make the place look presentable. But IF that is your hurdle take the $200 for the in-wall wiring and spend it on a hooker to come in and pick out some curtains at the very least. And having a fiberboard shelf that cost $15 at Big Lots is no excuse for an entertainment center.

I'm almost 100% positive you'll get laid more if you actually spend a Saturday trying to make the place look better. And if that's not your cup of tea at the very least you'll have a better setting to jerk in.

You know I'm right dude... I don't expect you to admit it on here and I don't expect a good response from what I've just said but take a look at your place... Things have gotten way out of control and I don't know if it's when you decided to say fk it and just left the scissors laying on the desk or when you decided a basketball would just look perfect set atop the Sat Box.. I don't want to make this into another thailand Q&A thread, you should head over to the travel forum and there's loads of answers there about cost of living. Basically it vary's alot depending on what kind of lifestyle you want to live. I spend more then I would back in the UK though

I have a likewise setup (17" laptop + 22" Widescreen). It´s not really baller, but ok for grinding.

Just to avoid public humiliation I will not post any pics. All there is to see is a 24inch Imac and a macbook laptop. I mostly play on the Imac alone but I really need a monitor to go with the Imac. THings get really ugly with 6 tables and HUD display. If u have any ideas theat would make a "baller-set-up" let me know (pm or just reply here).
