I actually quite like Australia, so it's not the end of the world. Might actually return to my 9-5 job when I get back. While it's been an amazing 7 years (by the time we return), it's not really challenging mentally. I think I need more of a challenge.

Trying to get a job after 7 years out will be interesting. Will likely have to drop back a couple of rungs on the ladder. Might even have to drop back 50 rungs or so to get back into the game and apply for a job like Sammy's.

The worst part is actually the dog. Minimum of 10 days in quarantine. We can't visit him in that time and he is taken there straight from the plane. i.e The last we see of him is when we leave LA. He won't know what the **** is going on. Going to be hard on him as he is a clingy dog. As I sit here in the lounge room, he's currently laying against the bedroom door because the gf is on the other side having a nap. Literally hates it when we aren't in the same room.

I know, it's sad to care! But I'm a softy.
