Anyone here talk to him regularly? I lent him a thousand dollars last year when he was going through tough times, and now that he finished 27th in WSOP and finally has some money (247k), he won't return my phone calls or emails.
It's funny how he was so quick to be my friend last year when he was broke and needed help. Now that he is a legend in his own lunchbox, I guess I probably need to get a hold of his agent.
Oh well, just a thousand dollar lesson. I'm a sucker. Whatever happened to poker players living by the phrase, "My word is good?"

Yeah, I used to play with him all the time in the 10/20 NL at Commerce. He was an extremely tight player (all the pros would avoid any confrontation with him) but had a solid poker mind, and would tell me if had any money he would be an unstoppable force. I gave him a grand 2 years ago and he paid me back the following year. Last year he borrowed from me again and this time he won't return any of my messages. Oh well. Just thought I'd warn everyone...

Exactly. When I used to play with him, he seemed a bit egocentric but always fair in his opinions. In other words - he seemed reasonable and that's why I took the bait.

there is basically a 0% chance this is accurate if he needs to borrow money at any point.
